Pricing for Star Wars Galactic Starcrusier at Disneyworld has been released and it is very pricey as expected.
Quote:
The hotel, which opens in spring 2022, is billed by Disney as a “revolutionary new two-night experience where you and your group will embark on a first-of-its-kind Star Wars adventure that’s your own.”
Despite being on dry land, the pricing is similar to the model of Disney’s cruise ships at sea: a set price for a multi-day journey, with entertainment, food and beverages included.
The company revealed sample cabin rates for the hotel on Wednesday: For a two-night stay, it costs $4,809 for two guests in a cabin, $5,299 for three guests (two adults and one child) and $5,999 for four guests (three adults, one child).
So what does $6,000 get you in space?
According to Disney, that pricing covers an “ongoing, immersive and interactive entertainment, where choices determine your experience,” your meals (excluding alcohol) and admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the home of the Star Wars-themed land Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney notes that “rates vary depending on your voyage departure date, the number of guests in your cabin and your cabin type.”
I wonder if it's just Disney employees saying "space" before everything they give you. What kind of "space sandwich" do you want? Space mustard or hot space mustard on that?
For $50 a night I can stay at a pirate themed casino in Vegas and spend the other $5950 on something a lot more memorable.
I doubt that they will struggle to fill that thing up for the first year. I mean I think its an amazing idea, and it sounds really immersive, and well thought out.
But frankly for me as big of a Star Wars dork as I am, paying 6k for a two day shot is out of the realm of possibilities.
They really need to have Porg on the menu. Grilled Ewok, Gungan sushi.

It sounds like there's less than 200 rooms in the entire place and there won't necessarily be "departures" available every day.
Disney's Cruise Line has 4 ships -- 2 with 875 rooms and 2 with 1250 rooms, and 3 more with 1250 rooms on order, and those things seem to full all the time (pre-COVID). So, they only really need less than a quarter the number of "passengers" as one of the smaller DCL ships for each "trip" to fill it up.
It looks really fun, but it's definitely out of my price range.

Are these government employees?

So what do we know going into the finale next week?
Spoiler!
We closed a major chapter in the lore of Star Wars, the destruction of Topico city. The scene where they showed the empty rooms where the Clones trained and ate and slept was kind of powerful and showed the ruthlessness of the Empire. But first the Empire had assigned the Clone Troopers and scientists and stripped it.
Does this link to the Mandalorian with the project that needs Grogu's blood or the cloning program that Palpatine was so invested in?
The Crosshair's story became more intriguing and tragic and devastating.
Crosshairs did manage to use Hunter as bait to bring the Batch back, then he ruthlessly killed the TK troopers under his command after he set things up for the Batch.
Basically Crosshairs felt betrayed by his former comrades who abandoned him to the inferior TK troops. He also is a firm believer in the New Order as a replacement to the failed republic. That's understandible as the Republic really saw the CT's as nothing more then canon fodder with no rights. Why wouldn't you be eager to see the Republic who had bumbled the war and saw millions of brothers with an Empire that is willing to do what it takes to ensure peace, justice and order to the Empire?
At the same time theres a big streak of nazi in Crosshairs as he see's himself and the batch as superior to the incoming Stormtroopers, and that leads to power within the NewOrder.
He also finally clarified things as Hunter and the Batch believed that Crosshairs betrayal was due to the inhibitor chip, to which Crosshairs replied "No hunter I am your father". No wait that's not it. He told Hunter that he had the chip removed long ago. Crosshairs actions, what seems like a long convoluted plan to get the batch back together was all him, and makes sense if Crosshair believed that the superiority of the Batch against regular troopers was so assured that any attempts to kill the Batch would be bumbled and failed.
There was a moment of humanity in Crosshairs when he wanted Omega sent off world "What kind of life would she have with you Hunter?" He asked alluding that Hunter was deluding himself in believing that he was anything but a solider, he was not a dad, he could not give a little girl a good and protected and safe life.
The visuals in this series continue to be outright beautiful. The bombardment scene was awesome, and its funny how the simple removal of the red jedi markings on the Venator class Star Destroyers instantly makes them look more menacing.
People that think this is going to be a happy reunion of the Bad Batch at the end of next weeks finale are fooling themselves. While Crosshairs is back with the Batch now trapped in the sinking city and they will have to work together to escape. Crosshairs and the Batch are on opposite sides of the spectrum and neither is going to change. Crosshair believes in the batch, but he does also believe in the New Order and their superiority. Hunter and the rest of the Batch are more open to the atrocities of the Empire and what's coming.
It would be easy if Crosshairs had a chip, remove it, bing bang done, but in this case Crosshairs is what as they called in Platoon a crusader.
Great episode.

I love all of the Filoni-verse equally, myself. Each in their own way. Mandalorian was required as a palate cleanser from all the Jedi-centric action we've been given over the years, and Bad Batch just adds to that. We have so much more to look forward to as well.

They should have let Filoni handle the "sequels".. i.e. not make them and leave the 1-6 film arc alone story wise and branch out in the universe. It would have turned out way better over all for the franchise.

I'm re-reading the Legacy of the Force series again for the first time in years. I was planning on reviewing it. But man they had a really well executed story line right there, with the fall of Jacen Solo in a logical manner who slowly became the big bad. They had Boba Fett. Jacen's sister and Luke and Mara's son Ben. Its actually an amazing story, and you know what, it didn't need a first order, or to bring back Palpatine. The reason for Jacen's fall to the Sith made complete sense and was justifiable, and he became a monster in the end. They killed off several major character, and introduced interesting new ones.

Finally caught up on the series. It's good. It's better than the start of both Clone Wars and Rebels I would say...
It has me intrigued enough to watch a second season, assuming they stick some sort of landing here at the end.

my predictions on the season finale leading to season 2
1) Obviously the batch escapes, but its because of Crosshairs, though he's still going to be a space nazi. Crosshairs saves Omega
2) We're going to see a mass betrayal of the Clone Troopers by the new TK Storm Trooopers. we'll see something similar to the order 66 montage in ROTS with Stormtroopers ambushing or executing clones. We'll see the return of two old friends in Wolfe and Gregor and Rex.
3) The bad batch will formerly join Rex and Wolfe and Gregor and we'll see Fulcrum. Ashoka in the final scene of the season.
4) We'll get a Tarkin Vader moment where they discuss the extermination of the Clones.
5) The season ends up with the Batch and Rex mourning that they couldn't save anyone.
6) Gronk dies heroically.
