Lots of great tips here, happy to see some Euchre love- and a Monopoly Deal mention or two. I've recently picked up ####### again, after playing a BUNCH in college, and VERY easy to learn.

9-5-2 is great, and i'd completely forgotten about it, thanks!

Euchre is great...if you have four people that all "get it".
Strugglers can easily make it an exercise in frustration.
When I was a much younger man we would usually get three games in on a fifteen minute coffee break.

We called it "speed Euchre"...quick call/pass and throw it down as soon as it's obvious.
If everybody knows the game it is one of the most exciting ones out there...IMO/YMMV!

Probably my own inexperience, but it seemed to me with Euchre that there were not many hard decisions - there is usually an optimal card to play?

It’s mostly about the trump selection. There is a bit of strategy in playing though.

My wife and I play with this other couple but they live in Vancouver so it’s only at holidays when we visit. Of course they key is not to have your spouse as a partner. It’s the only wife swapping I do.
