Given how screwed the basic things in life are, I for one would be pretty pissed if we decided to allow pro sports to resume and put the recovery in North America completely at risk with senseless mass gatherings like this.

Shut it all down and hope to pick things up for the upcoming seasons that will begin this fall.

Guaranteed. I think we all knew the shutdown was coming, but at that point, only Ohio and Northern California were closing down. They probably would have made it through that weekend - so two more Flames home games - but I think both leagues believed that was as far as they were likely going to be able to go.

a few days before the shutdown many of us were mind blown that the Sharks were potentially gonna play in an empty stadium. Things really escalated quickly. Even as the games were played that final night stadiums were packed, fans we screaming and cheering as usual. Most fans were none the wiser the game would be the last and likely completely meaningless
