Just about. I prefer them to Rob Kerr and Rob Volman or Pinder with Ryan Lambert or Tyler Dellows. Those are my automatic 'change the station' teams.

Flames just have to get this game to OT and all will be fine! GFG!

Don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. Rob Vollman is fine. There are those in the analytics community who aren't pompous windbags making clickbait conclusions from simplistic data.

Slightly off topic: Can someone explain to me what the radio broadcasters are talking about at the beginning of each period when they say "The Flames are on your radio moving left to right" or vice versa depending on the period. How can you tell what direction they are going on the radio when you can't see them and why would it even matter?

I think it's just to paint a clearer picture in your head of what the play looks like

It only helps, though, if they intend to refer to right v. left in their play description later, which I've never heard Wills do.

It's not the first time I've heard it. Mark Stevens does it on the Stamps radio broadcast. I don't like Stevens, so it was a point against Wills when I first heard him.

I'd prefer a convincing regulation win.

I'll say 4-3 Flames.

Also I hate everyone seeing Star Wars tonight as I have to wait until Saturday morning to see it

Yeah I agree that it doesn't work, and I chuckle every time I hear it

4-3 would be OK. 5-2 would be better.

For hockey pool purposes, Spezza can have all the Stars goals. Johnny and Monney can combine for 6-10 points.

He has never once said "face of on this or that side of x goalie"? Etc...

If it dosen't help any one visualize the play better thwn they have no imagination which dosen't suprise me . With all the tech out there our society is now to relantw on visual aids.

Damn TV, you've ruined my imagination, just like you've ruined my ability to...uh... -Bart

What side of the goalie the face-off is on has nothing to do with teh first comment.

And needing a left-right description speaks more to a lack of imagination than not wanting one, no? If I can visualize the play just fine without the "aid" of Wills' left-right comment, then I think I have better imagination, not worse.

Sure it does. Reminds to to flip the play. Left side. Of the goalie is the far boards for one is the near boards for another.

I wss just making a generalization of society in general. Not specifically you. Which is why announcers do it.

Go Flames Go.
If you have Gateway, download the Gateway app and you can set the PVR on your phone.

I doesn't bother me, I just find it superfluous. I don't always visualize the game from centre ice, myself. My inner vision sees it from various angles.
