Not the Kah-da-di thing. Singh has been doing that for a year and a half.

People keep saying they heard him say "McDavid"; I watched the video 10 times and can't hear it.

Okay now it's definitely "Driving to the net"

Its our own personal Flames Rorschach. How much DO you hate the Oilers?

Just re-watching the highlights...that 2nd Sharangovich goal...that guy's wrister must be damned lethal.

That hit the net so hard it bounces out back to the hash-marks. I thought someone scooped it out of the net but it looks like it was sheer inertia.

I re-watched the jersey retirement ceremony with the kids this morning.

Did they ever show the painting buddy did during the game?

Huberdeau has got to be better than that game. Throwing out blind backhand passes in your own zone to the middle of the ice is just benchworthy. That was a step back for sure.

Yeah, I think in the 2nd intermission but it wasn't finished yet. Looked pretty cool though.

It looked done for the most part.

Skulls and the jersey going up. Pretty cool.

It's the only thing I heard until I read along with the transcript and then it was "normal". Weird effect, now I don't hear McDavid at all.

Also,

If anyone has an extra Kipper Cup that apparently was at the Dome last night, send me a PM and I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands, as well as over-pay for shipping.

Lethal, yes but I believe we've seen his shot being even harder this year. Last night was about 90% of max, IMO.

Apologies for the late reply, but my flight home on Sunday ended up being delayed to Tuesday and I got sick on that day. I have been bed-ridden for the better part of the last two days.

I thoroughly enjoyed ceremony and game as well as all the Kipper-related amenities.

Every speech was pure class and when Kipper first stepped out onto the carpet and the Dome broke out into a "Kipper" chant... I got emotional.

Regardless of what happened, I was happy that #34 was where it belonged.

This was my view of Kipper's speech and the number raising. I originally recorded and uploaded the entire ceremony, but that video ended up getting copyright claimed. I intend to edit and upload a Vlogcation video of my trip.

While I never had the honour of meeting the real Kipper, I did experience the next closest thing.

It's great that the Flames didn't fall short again when honouring one of their legends (especially the one that I idolized the most) and that, finally, I am not a jinx anymore (1-1 attending Flames games in Calgary, 0-4 in Winnipeg).
