That’s all.
TBF, Sutter knew Kipper already (and asked for Toskala).

Funny - he signed Iggy for a 3 year RFA bridge (same as Tkachuk) and a 5 year UFA. I expect he'd get criticized for not "locking up".

Swing for top line talent.
No projected 3rd line defensive minded forwards.

Skilled, speed, offensive threat.
Forward or D we need an offensive first player, you can always find the defensive minded guys as UFAs or later picks.

Swing big.

Calum Ritchie is the one I'm looking at. I like the sizzle reels on him.

He's one of my favorites for our pick.

Guys whose offence doesn’t jump off the page in Junior rarely if ever find another level in the pros. They settle as 3rd and 4th line pluggers.

Of course I wouldn’t be mad if we found a 90 point centre at 14. I just don’t think any player likely to be available at 14 is an especially good bet to become that.
Patrick Kane is flashy. McDavid is flashy. Panarin is Flashy. Jarome was almost as meat-and-potatoes, north/south as you can get. "Flashy" doesn't just mean "putting up numbers".

Jarome had that world class will to win, elite puck protection, amazing shot and was as strong as they come but I remember that he used to be way flashier in preseason games. He would often try dekes and moves that you would never see him do in the regular season. Maybe he was more relaxed or just trying to have fun out there. Far more effective as a bull though lol.

Yamer, in that early to mid teens first round spot wouldn't be the worst outcome. Couple of good players in that range.

You didn't see many end-to-end rushes, or fancy dekes coming from Jarome. Craig Button once said, explaining why Dallas was able to snag Jarome at 11-"Because there wasn't a lot of flash and dash with Jarome. He didn't wow you. He didn't go end to end. But as you watched him, he was a strong player in every single area of the game. A really good player who could play it any way you wanted. He was heavy. He was hard. He could kill penalties. Score. Make plays." That was Jarome.

I'm kinda partial to Riley Heidt. Playmaking center with a wicked one timer. Better than average speed.

He's really rocketed up the charts lately, with a strong flourish to finish the season at a WHOPPING 97 points!!!! I would not be upset at all if we picked him, or his teammate, Koehn Ziemmer.

If I am "mathing" correctly, we are projected to select 16th OA and 15th OA if the Predators either match our points (1-0-1) or win out. I would assume neither will happen, but even if it did the difference between 15th and 16th overall is rather small.

What's your top 15 looking like? I would need to do my research.

Probably gone by the time we pick but I'd love it if the flames grabbed Reinbacher. Looks like he's gonna be a stud.

Somebody we wont expect to be at 16 will probably be there. Tends to happen in these deep drafts.
