Good to see these guys appreciate winning the bronze.

Is it fair to suggest that this group was more likely to show up and fight for the bronze than the NHL elite would have? Only natural- a bunch of guys with their peak playing days behind them vs players that still have millions in income and chamionship runs still coming their way.

I enjoyed the tournament but am sure the NHL will be back in 2026

In the moment players feel more excited about the Bronze than a silver.

Good for these guys though.

Yeah I don’t think you’d see the third string goalie and the healthy scratches dress in full equipment to come on for the bronze celebration from the NHLers.

Why wouldn't they? You get the silver after a loss, the bronze after a win. Delay the medal presentations a day and you'd see different reactions.

I like their attitude. A bit muted, as it is not gold. You can’t win gold by winning this game, but there is still something to be won. Nice to see them show up and play for the win. Congrats to them.

LOL.

@alyroe:
The US men's curling team just realized the gold medals they were awarded moments ago say "women's curling gold medal" on them. Their coaches are working on it ... #pyeongchang2018 https://t.co/PERIMuXN98

Do the women's say "men's"?

In french so you'll all have to get your old grammar books out.

Alex Harvey with his dad, says losing to 2 Russians is really hard to swallow. The Russian who won silver ok, he's a contender. But the Russian who won bronze is a nobody. No way he could keep up with and then pass both Sundby and Harvey.

Congrats to the Canadians for the hockey bronze. If you'd asked me going in I would have been happy with 3rd considering the roster.

Hopefully NHLers are back in 2022. The lack of top talent plus the big ice has resulted in a mostly uninspiring hockey tournament.

Yes, if you watched that race the battle for 4th was quite intense and ended up in a photo finish. Of course there is good reason to believe that either or both the 4th and 5th place finishers could be eventually upgraded after the drug inquiries are completed in the near future. Perhaps Harvey and the other athlete suspected as much.
