So has anyone else almost lost all hope for this game being any good? It seems like every month there's another article talking about this game and all its flaws.
The most recent being a review that compared it to WoW in 2004 with the only difference being the voice acting. Now one of the game's head designers has come out and said that only fools deviate from what WoW has done.
The more I read, the more I am losing hope in this game and putting stock in Warhammer 40k being my futuristic MMORPG of choice.
This game had SO much promise but now it is looking like it may be dead before it's even on the shelves :\.

Yeah, I've basically stopped reading about it and will pay attention when the open beta comes to see if it's worth playing.

I am also in the "this has no chance" club. They went the complete wrong direction for an MMO. I had been saying that I knew this would suck, but I would still try it. At this point, I'm not even going to try it.

The game is a Star Wars MMORPG, it has more than just a chance. I don't think I'll get it as I don't really like MMO's, but I am pretty sure it will have a chance at staying alive for a few years. The numbers won't be as good as WoW, I don't think they'll be close, but I think the core number of people will be enough to keep it alive.

Are the two Sith Reven and Malak, because they really look like them.
And the Jedi looks a lot like Bastilla

This was always a concern for me ever since Bioware first announced that they were now owned by EA.
Anyone who has played Ultima Online knows that EA simply destroys anything resembling an MMO - it basically tries to copy things that make other MMOs successful and do a half ass job of it. I'm not surprised that the development team was told to go more in the direction of WoW.

Although I have full faith in Bioware, a lot of the people working on Star Wars aren't the original Bioware crew. True they are Bioware but it is their Austin branch not the one in Edmonton. They have members who worked on Neverwight Nights and Ultima Online but not the major AAA games of this generation. Basically a lot of new hired people.
In theory it really isn't a Bioware game will all the new "recruits".

No this takes place like a century later. But I think allegedly the chick Jedi is Bastilla's great granddaughter or something

They should've just made a normal KOTOR game instead of an online game. The original still holds up as one of the best games ever and is miles better than any of the latter Star Wars films.

The one Sith is wearing a Revan like mask
The other Sith has the wrecked Jaw like Malak.

I believe the one Sith Lord with the wrecked jaw to be Darth Chratis, just started reading the book Star Wars: The Old Republic: Fatal Alliance. Pretty good so far if you plan on playing the game pick it up.
Edit: After more research it looks as though the Sith Lord from the trailers is actually Darth Malgus.

i read fatal alliance and it was ok.
To get a real feeling of the old republic you almost have to read the Darth Bane trilogy which highlights the creation of the rule of two and the relationship between Sith Lords and their apprentice.
As a side note, they're finally releasing a book on Darth Plageous who we know was the master of Darth Sideous.
I'm looking forward to that book.
