Is this upcoming season just a ploy to sell the millions of cans of unsold New Coke sitting in warehouse for the last 30 years?

I'm having trouble getting excited for this new season. It doesn't help that the marketing doesn't seem to be much more than "It's in the 80's now, look how 80's things are".

It's always been set in the 80s and has always leaned heavily on 80s nostalgia.

Yeah, the Stranger Things 80's nostalgia leveraging always used to be so subtle.

It sounds like unless you live in the States or know someone who does you're SOL on getting New Coke.

I don't really remember the taste of New Coke, but I distinctly remember that I didn't like it. I guess my tastes may have changed since then, so I suppose I will give it a try. Surprising to hear that they won't have it in Canada, despite there already being about a thousand different Coke variants on the shelves here.

Speaking of coke, can someone here explain why Vanilla Coke is not sold in Canada anymore?
There's a new Orange Vanilla Coke flavor, and I can't even get in on it. I don't understand why it isn't sold here since it was fairly popular?
