Relatively new in Calgary, this establishment boasts locally-sourced and organic ingredients (where possible) and no trans fats. Just bought a box today for the office and most people seemed pretty impressed.
I thought my doughnut, a vanilla dip, was a solid B+. A vanilla dip is what it is and probably doesn't have as high a top end as something exotic like the maple bacon offering. Of course, something like that could either be a huge hit or a giant whiff.
They seem to be following the cupcake model wherein they produce a bunch of comically-large, expensive sweets and sell them until supplies run out. They would do well to add a larger offering of mini (read: normal-sized) doughnuts.
If you have $5 in your wallet and feel like spending most of that on a giant fancy doughnut, do yourself a favor and give them a try.
If you've tried them, what did you think?
