It's because Parayko is one of the few players that gets an exception to the stick length restriction, so Tarasenko is not allowed to use his stick. If it were any other Blues' dropped stick, Tarasenko could use it without getting a penalty.
Nice come back by the Devils who were down 3-0 to the Knights halfway into the first period. Schneider was pulled after those 3 goals, Kinkaid came in, and the Devils woke up after that outshooting the Knights 29-11 in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Hischier scored the GWG in OT.
