Powerplay Quarterback

Great write-up as always, but for the first goal, I'd put more blame on Tkachuk for the slow and lazy pass/giveaway than on Brody leaving the zone too early.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Agreed. Tkachuk had the puck at his feet and seemed to wait for someone to come back. Had he just played it, well. That goal likely doesn't happen.
Flames seemed hesistant to make plays the whole game. Tons of second guessing out there and problems clearing the zone followed but I think that's part of the growing pains early this season.

The game was light years better than the last two and there are many positives to take away.
I am just freaking sick of losing and being a losing franchise. It sucks.

This is my takeaway as well.
Better overall team game, better in their own zone. The second pairing playing solid really changes the outlook of the team as they finally have one pairing going.
Part of the problem seems to be the wingers though, they seem to be lost in that Iginla zone where you don't really cover the point and you don't really help out down low.

Sorry ... maybe fire me a list of what I can and can't say.
The guy wasn't a stallion in his own zone as a hockey coach it was really obvious especially if you were watching a game live.
He's not allowed to have ever had flaws?

Bennett does not mesh with Johnny
Monahan needs to find his two way game again
First line needs a better 2 way game
Lindholm is better than a support player; he cannot drive his own line
My new forwards lines
Johnny-backlund-Neal
Tkachuk-Lindholm-frolik
Bennett-monahan-czarnik
dube-Ryan-Hathaway

Carry on as always, focusing on the sparse negatives with "#12" (I find it interesting how you often refer to him only by his jersey number, haven't noticed that treatment with others).
There are many positive aspects to his game, that Flames players could model themselves after.

That's odd. I've never referred to him as #12 in my recollection.
Guessing you'd have a tough time finding even one occasion of that, and if so numerous.
And agreed on Iginla, I think you're on the wrong witch hunt here.
