Default October 27 with ten games!

No Centre Ice is no problem for viewers in Canada. It's a great day for hockey because there's a quadruplet header (thank you SN) that includes the Flames game and starts off with a morning/matinee game. Throw in the World Series game and it's the ultimate sports day! Sportsnet continues its crush on the Flyers for the 3rd straight Saturday.

Weird start time for the Panthers and Devils. Noon? On a Saturday? I've barely had my second cup of coffee by then. Seems weird to start drinking beer at that time, but if that's when the game is, so be it.

Florida with the slight edge in play to start this one. Hoffman has been heating up with a 6 game point streak. Panthers just had a 5 on 3 opportunity and almost scored.

oof...Miles Wood with the cheap shot punch on Bjugstad who was tied up by the official during a post-whistle scrum.

I didnt realize Miles Wood (shame thats not a pornstar name) was so scrappy until that epic tilt with Jamie Benn a week ago.

Wow.

The puck goes in the net as Palmieri slams into Reimer's blocker as he throw his blocker out to stop a shot. Ref staring at it without any impediment calls it a good goal on the ice, no discussion following the play and no official review by the guys calling the game. Panthers forced to use a challenge on one of the most obvious goaltender interference calls I've ever seen.

#### me...video replay calls it a good goal too.

I don't understand the rules of the NHL anymore.

Blech...

Taylor Hall left all alone in front. 2-0 Devils.

This Panthers team just can't seem to get anything positive going these days.

I see Miles Wood has taken 3 minor penalties in the 1st period already. I wonder if the coach lets him on the ice again?

Reimer is getting knocked down every minute in this one. The Panthers need to protect their goalie and show some ferocity when the Devils come near him. Far too passive from this team right now.

3-0 Devils.

Man, it's going to be a long year to be a Panthers fan. Might be a lottery pick this year if this keeps up, which is crazy considering they were one point out of a playoff spot last year with an unreal second half of the season.

Yet another cheap shot punch to an unsuspecting Panthers player. This time Boyle on Weegar. Both guys go off, of course.

Trocheck gets a breakaway short handed, flubs the shot in close, and then swings around and hits the guy chasing him in the face with his stick and takes a penalty. Of course, that guy is Miles Wood.

Nothing is going right today for Florida. Just depressing.

I don't understand the rules of the NHL anymore.
I thought so on the initial viewing as well, but in slow mo it looks like Reimer sticks his blocker straight out to make the save, while at the very top of his crease, and initiates contact to a player in white ice.

Hard to argue it stopped him making the save (with the way he played it). But it's also the skaters right to be in the white ice and not be called for interference. If that happens in the blue paint or if the skater goes into Reimer it's called back. As it happened, I think they actually got it right with no interference.

You have to allow the goalie to make the first save. Reimer established his position at the top of the blue ice, and his arm merely extends to stop the puck. That's Reimer's ice and space without any doubt.

Palmieri then slams into him which causes the puck to bounce toward the net. It wouldn't be a problem, except Palmieri's contact causes Reimer to spin around so he can't make the rebound save. That's textbook goaltender interference, so I have to adamantly disagree with you. If you hit the goalie as he attempts to make a save, that contact cannot limit his ability to make the next save.

A pretty goal by Mike Matheson finally breaks the shutout by Kinkaid, but with just 5 minutes left in the game, it's too little too late for the Panthers.

Hoffman scores with 14 seconds left to keep his point streak alive. That was his 8th shot on goal of the game.

Too little too late.

Yikes, that’s an ugly sequence leading to the Edmonton shorty

I can imagine how any Flames D would have been roasted if they fell down like Ellis on the PP to allow an odd man rush

I think the Preds struggle at home. At least against Alberta teams.
