It doesn’t appear you can stand anything, let alone my posts. Maybe you spend too much time in the shadows. You should get out, it’s affecting your mood.

Ok, so you've got some real insight into whether flashing lights have value. Have you ever looked at the roof of your firetruck or ambulance? Ever noticed those lights? Moth affect? Really? Drunk drivers across the land are crashing into emergency vehicles and school buses because there is a flashing light? Got any links?
I can't believe you think you have proof that flashing lights are useless, and therefore some kind of "Helen Lovejoy" placater. I'd like to see you at my kid's bus stop one morning in the middle of winter and then call me a Helen Lovejoy after you see gravel trucks and semis slowing down because they could see the beacon over the dip. F'n nerd. Get back to scooping up dead skunks, Mr. Roads.
|
Isn’t the solution here is to ensure the bus stop has long enough site lines? If one has to see the bus flashing light and cannot see the bus that it results in the gravel truck having to slam on the breaks then the stop should be moved.

That sucks. As someone that routinely forgets things and had some favourite personal items swiped from my car recently, just don't let that #### linger on your mind.
Focus on all the good that came out of the day. Material things can be replaced. Time on the road with family can't.

1. Sight lines. We're British subjects, get with the program!
2. There are a lot of rural people.
Those stop signs and fog lights on school busses arent for the average joe in town. Thats because they have to make rural stops.

The sight lines are long enough in ideal weather. Winter adds darkness, but that actually enhances the lights. It's the inclement weather that's really f'd. Think about how many times you've been on a two way undivided highway and the moron oncoming doesn't have their lights on. Or approaching from behind.
This is literally how stupid this argument is. OMG, there's a light on the bus that makes no difference to me, so I hate it. It makes a huge difference in a lot of other situations other than rounding the bend of Bonavista Drive.

I'll STFU now if I can just say that it's absolutely ridiculous that people are mad about lights on school buses. Really nice that you live in Cranston or whatever, and they do SFA for you, but they do a lot for me. So it's a light on the bus. Shut your mouth and live with it.

Guy, I've been reading this board for over 10 years. Just because I rarely reply doesn't mean that I don't see that you reply to every damn thing. Nobody needed to look up your post history to know what you do, where you live, and how much of a d-bag you are.

They should just get more cashiers. There is nothing more efficient than a cashier.

An idiot needs only to be better than 1/8th of a cashier for it to be a win for Walmart.
