Has anyone had any luck raiding in the suburbs? I've tried a bunch but really it usually ends in me and a friend or 2 getting slaughtered. Are there any groups for raids in certain areas of calgary

I follow a raid chat on Facebook and one on Discord. It helps me know where other people are heading.
Beat 4 Raikou today, all in suburban NE. Had between 10-20 people at all of them, without having to wait too long.
0/4 on catching now though.

Discord is definitely your answer, as long as you can find a group in your area. We just moved to ruralish (not hardly even suburban) Chicagoland and fortunately stumbled across a discord that covers probably 50 sq km in our area. Hit 7 raids in about 3 hours Friday, always with lots of players.

What area of the city are you in? There's a good group for deep SE raids, especially if you are Instinct.

I'm mystic and not all that high of a level, 21. Not sure if too many groups have a need for ~1600 CP Pokemon in their raids.
I'm in mahogany if that helps.

If you have facebook join PokemonGO Raiders Calgary S.E. I've done a few raids with a bunch of people there.
Don't worry about your level, only way to level up is to keep grinding, and more people just helps to take raids down faster.

Yeah, don't worry about your level, every little bit helps. Just be open with the group that your help might not represent a "full player"s worth of help.

I finally got Unown yesterday, Wife is now done regional, I need Miltank and I'm done, plus we have Farfetch'd and Corsola from our Japan trip

0/4 here. One raid, we helped a kid get one on his first try though (team was level 10-ish?). He was lobbing the balls straight at Raikou. It was pretty neat.
