Rob Gale is one of those likeable guys who seems almost like a caricature to me. Loves the league, the game, the city, etc. and seems like a genuinely good person.
But... he's had ample opportunity to get some results for Valour. They obviously see themselves as playoff material, so if they want to salvage this season, the status quo had to go.

Another game day. It's against Ottawa, so we'll either pummel them or get completely outplayed. There is no in between. If Cavalry don't pick up a win against the worst side in the league by far, I'd start to get concerned.

Pretty brutal half from Cavalry. Extremely poor on the set piece and caught on the counter for the first goal, and a terrible giveaway from Di Chiara sees Ottawa carve open our backline and forces Carducci into a bad decision. As usual, not much finish from Novak.

I don't get it. With the deepest lineup in the league, they shouldn't be struggling. Classic case of all the tools, no toolbox.

I know PK saves happen from time to time, but boy oh boy are we week down the middle. And I say that because we don't have a true offensive-minded finisher when Joe Mason isn't on the field. Goddamn I miss Jordan Brown.

He is easily one of the weakest links on the team. I also am nervous when he's on the field, and I'm not sure why he gets so much playing time. If it's because we're giving minutes to young Canadian players, give it to Kaiser - he's a much more effective player on the pitch.

We don't even need the minutes to the young players. We've long passed that benchmark. Plus Yao and Loturi covered that this year.
I think Tommy rated Hernandez when he was playing youth soccer in Edmonton and he is being stubborn in trying to make him look good at the pro level. But he's terrible. I really hope all of Hernandez, Di Chiara and Luca are gone after this year. Starting to think Novak should be gone as well.

Yeah Di Chiara and Luca have been huge disappointments. Novak is showing he's not the player we thought he was as the season goes on (great start though).
On the flip side, it's great to watch Farsi and Klomp develop. I'm still on the fence with Loturi, Yao and Selemani.

Nice to finally see East vs West games today. Sick of seeing the same 3 opposition.
Surprised all 3 East teams won today.
Forge recently added Omar Browne and Emery Welshman to their squad. They’re ready for the playoffs. They beat Pacific 2-1 today.

I hope they soon realize that they are supposed to be going for wins, not possession.
Carducci needs to spend less time watching Mike Smith footage. He looks like a guy trying too hard to make up for the failings in front of him this season.
They need to find a Buscher replacement. That gaping hole is still left unfilled.

I want to say that KJ and Andi Petrillo are great on One Soccer. Better than most of the hacks they have working the Sportsnet and TSN panels IMO.
