Default Blues at Flames 7:00MT TV: SNW and SNP Radio:Fan960

All Star break and bye week are over. It is time for the home stretch push. Time for the Snek to rise above all the garbage of the season thus far. The Flames host the Blues, a solid team and a good litmus test to see if this team is ready to rock after a solid break.

I'll update with fancy schmancy stats once they become available

Time for a reverse of last season, crap the first half of the season and kill it the rest of the way.

With Binnington starting tonight I expect the Flames to counter with Rittich.

Also want to thank the Blues in advance for losing to the Canucks last night but turning it on tonight against the Flames.

Hoping the Flames remember last year after the break and work their butts off to correct that this time around. Starts tonight.

First game after the break? Sounds like an obvious excuse for a classic 2019 flames no show.

Should be interesting to see what comes of the next 11 games before the deadline.

I really hope they crush it, but if they don't, hope they completely fall out. Want the deadline to be a no brainer for this management group.

Hopefully the coaching staff has these guys ready to go as they will have to show up for the opening puck drop or the Blues will lay a licking on them especially after losing last night.

Honestly as good as it is hockey is back, I'm not looking forward to the first game after a long break. The team has shown over the years that they very rarely find another gear post all-star and usually back into the end of the season.

To me it all comes down to whether the best players are the best players every night from here on out, it's that simple. Get Gaudreau and Monahan back to dominating their match-ups would go a long way to getting some wins. Same with the D returning to being a potent backend points producing unit instead of the bottom 10 unit they are now.

It will be interesting to see how the team plays the last 1/3 of the season. I'm fully prepared to be in seller mode if they blow the next couple weeks.

St. Louis is such a hard team for this group to match up against.

Rittich needs to have his best stuff going and even then scoring against them can be a real issue.

23 and 13 need to figure things out offensively regardless and if they do, this team will be fine. If they don't...I doubt this club will be anything but sellers come trade deadline.

#### RSN
I'd rather watch by snowy rabbit ears on a potato, like I did in the old days, than support this oilercentric network.

And, Go Flames!

At least we’re getting St. Louis on a back to back. On the other hand, they lost last night and might want to take it out on the Flames.

We really need a win here just to keep pace. The stupid Canucks keep winning.

The Flames will pound the Blues, the start of a glorious run to Lord Stanley's mug. GFG!

I thought there was an outside chance Flames would hire a “non interim” coach during the break. Guess not.

I'd have rather faced them on when they're on the road right after the break and the excitement of the ASG in their home town. They may have now shaken off the rust.

The Blues have usually had Calgary's number more or less for a few years now. But who knows, I thought they'd lose to the Leafs and stomp the Sens.

Flames will come out flat tonight, but scrape out a lucky win. Then roll the Oilers tomorrow night.

This team reminds of the 2006-2009 Flames. Lots of talent, but there is some missing ingredient.

There is always some excuse for why things aren't going right. They crumple when there is adversity.

Here's hoping for a new invigorated team for the 2nd half, but I'm not confident.

Before you call me a pessimist or a downer, the Flames made me this way. Blame them.

I don't care if they lose 8 of the next 10 games as long as they beat the Oilers in both.
