As an aside... Not a great weekend for cmnt in terms of epl results... Jimenez and Antonio both scored and look in form for this window and we have both those teams coming up. Though Bailey won't be coming after the injury he picked up for villa it seems.

I was watching the second half of the games wolves played earlier this am and they had very little intent to keep the ball but they just gave Southampton no major openings. I know he went for possession there at times but I think that his comfort zone is locking it down and building from that solid defence and trying to play like that with a bunch of players whose strength is on the ball is a tough slog.
That and Kane looking off the pace is a tough spot to be in.

Kane’s not off the pace. He’s checked out. He made one hard run after he turned the ball over, and aside from that has done nothing.

We had a few calls against and a few non-calls I thought. But really…Nuno had them setup so pathetically that it hardly matters. The last thing we needed was a draw here that somehow gives him credibility.
Next week we lose to Villa, and maybe get a caretaker in for the relegation battle to come. I do think that keeping Nuno is a complete disaster and we will be close to relegation if not there. That team is just disgraceful under his watch.

That is what VAR checked. Had it been in the box, VAR would have - should have awarded a penalty.
VAR doesn’t award free kicks.

Brighton suck, they were bad the whole 90 that was probably their only chance the whole game other than one other counter Wellbeck had. Role reversal from last year where they were actually a better team than palace and Palace stole an undeserved 3 points. And for Maupay who is like an EPL greaseball version of Cooke/Burrows/Marchard to score it... ouch.
