Any word on where the next home game will be. I'd love to make a trip up to Edmonton to watch. A dream obviously would be to host a game at AtcoFeild.

The dates are all set if you want to look them up, but the only confirmed venue is BMO field for the October 13 game against Panama. Theres widespread speculation that the 2 home games in November against Costa Rica and Mexico will be in Edmonton, but that hasnt been officially announced.
There is also a home game against the US at the end of January which is expected to be held at BC place.

Likely November in Edmonton. As in, very, very likely.

Toronto will be plenty cold to try for the advantage in that department vs MEX and CRC.
Edmonton might be -25 with 4 feet of snow. The 2003 Heritage Classic was so damn cold, it was too cold for good ice!

Toronto would be filled with Mexico fans, would it be any different in Edmonton?

I have no idea what they should do, but I'm kind of hoping for about 15cm and an orange ball...

Yeah, it will be different. Mexicans won’t really drive from the USA, nor is there a sizeable population in the Edmonton area vs Southern Ontario.

Actually yeah, I didn't think of it from that angle. It'll probably feel like a Mexico home match (save for the weather )
There's nothing left to do but host it at Spruce Meadows on real grass.

Canada played Mexico at Commonwealth in Oct 2008 i believe it was in a world cup qualifier and while there was some Mexico fans it wasnt a huge amount

I was there. A pretty sparse crowd in general, maybe half mexican it was hard to tell. Mostly casuals. The game was meaningless for Canada as we had been eliminated a few days prior while Mexico was almost assured to go through (although that ended up being closer than anyone thought) so it was basically like a friendly on a cold Wednesday night in October. We drew 2-2, which might have been was our best result of that whole round, off goals from Ali Gerba and Radzinski.

God have mercy on those players. That ball is going to be like kicking a solid metal sphere.

Amazing that we're back to the days where TFC is utter ####, and. half the CMNT plays for them. Except this time the CMNT isn't utter ####.
Glad to see Shaffelburg get the call. He's been underutilized at TFC until lately, and has looked great. Hard to see time on the wing with this roster though.

Game Day. My body is ready.
All the pressure is on Mexico at home. Canada not exactly playing with house money, but close to it. Hopefully they play relaxed and we get a bit of magic tonight!!
