The Danes advance with a win at home Tuesday. The Austrians are on life support but a W would give them some hope of making it to a playoff.

Anytime you're at home to Hungary and tied with 20 minutes left

The smart play is to take graelish, then kane and sterling off

So much attacking talent to bring on with fresh legs, sancho is surely going to punish these fullbacks with his speed off the bench... oh what's that? Is that Jordan Hendersons music?

Southgate and Ole are very similar to me.

They can get results for England and Man U respectively by playing passive, and safe football.

But really the reason they have success is because the talent at their disposal is undeniable.

In the end I think it cost England the Euro Cup. They had Italy on the ropes those 1st 25 minutes and should have went all after them, Italy was especially struggling with the pace. But England tried to slow the game down and it played into Italy's favour.

Just listened to his interview.

He made the substitutions to..... get fresh legs on.

Sepp Blatter, the former FIFA president, and Michel Platini, ex-president at UEFA, were charged with fraud and other offences by Swiss prosecutors on Tuesday after a six-year investigation of a controversial $2 million payment.

Blatter has been charged with fraud, mismanagement, misappropriation of FIFA funds and forgery of a document. Platini has been charged with fraud, misappropriation, forgery and as an accomplice to Blatter's alleged mismanagement.

This seems very much like "get Capone on Tax Evasion" as the sums of money that go through those agencies this seems like a very small amount.

Jesus....this is going to be a long night for Lichtenstein.

Its 4-0 and only 22 minutes in and they're down a man.

Now if only England can somehow find a way to surmount those fiendish Albanians!

Hopefully they've hired someone to guard their cars in the Parking lot...

5-0 England at halftime so methinks they will be finding a way. I think they should spice up some of these ties by making like England or Germany play 8 against 11 when they play Albania or Lichtenstein or Moldova.

Italy with another draw against Switzerland.

Jorginho missed a penalty late in both games that would have won the game. Has the yips taking penalties for Italy now.

I was there last night and it was ridiculous watching the skill of England. Harry Kane was a man on a mission. With a few near misses, the game could’ve been 7-0 at half. What an atmosphere by the Albanian supporters until the end. This experience made me love this game. Just me at 80,300 of my new friends. Haha

Make them play like its a 3-legged race. Every player has to be tied to another player.

That'd even things up....

Croatia has qualified in most ridiculous fashion:

https://twitter.com/user/status/1459909546760183814

This was a game you had to see to believe. The field was completely waterlogged, Russia would have qualified with a 0-0 draw, and the only way anybody was going to score was, well, like that.

That is one Russian who is going to find his home burnt to the ground when he gets back.

And its not going to be subtle. Putin is going to be sitting on the charred remains of his front lawn in a throne-style chair smoking a cigar next to an empty gas can.

That pitch is typically in good shape, but that was embarrassingly bad today. My cousins in Split said the rain was absolutely insane.

Happy to avoid playoff what can I say. I worry for that guys safety tbh if Russia miss.

What happened to Iceland? Trailing to North Macedonia at the moment and well down in the table for qualification.
