I think they really missed Kirk today, should have blown open that first inning. I like the fact they are walking and getting on base. The big hits will come.

KK is most likely going to be what he's always been.
A slightly below average bat, with way above average base running and defense.
It's not that complicated.
Just hope he stays healthy.

Kirk was 1-5 with 4 LOB in opener. Not exactly clutch.
Just one of those days. Jays no hit through 5 but walked 7 times. Gausman no earned runs and 7 K's through 6. Deserved a better outcome

KK out today. Varsho in CF, Merrifield in LF and Espinal at 2B, Kirk DH. Maybe looking for more pop.

Yesterday was a perfect example of the importance of defense - if not for 2 defensive lapses, the Jays win 1-0.
Also, I would not call them a defensive team. Springer-Bichette-Guerrero is an elite top of the order. And the combination of speed, and power from both sides of the plate, in the rest of the order, makes them a pretty strong offensive club. Not saying they will lead the league in runs or anything, but they will definitely be among the better offenses in baseball.

Another HR. 4-0.
What a disaster of a start.

Hey Bassitt, maybe you shouldn’t call your own pitches.

Bassitt is hounded by the home run. Ruff outing so far.

Cue the Ross Atkins Arrested Development...oh no I've made a terrible mistake.
It's a horrific start. Hopefully he follows it up with 3 good ones

Good response. Now just need Bassitt to get in a groove and stop giving up a HR every 5 minutes.

Everything about Bo at SS drives me crazy. Not tall enough to get to balls around him, not quick enough to field much range, weak arm. Thought he could’ve been able to get to that line drive over him.
