Try out Texture King. He was cheap and good.

I recently used Martex Texturing for my basement. They were doing all the Homes By Avi homes in Walden at the time. Quick, cheap and easy to deal with!

just called Pro Tech, their BBQ baseline price is $125 install fee plus $14/ft of gas line. If its over 20' they need an air test which is $130. All in for me to do a BBQ gas line and a range gas line would be about $1400 max. I havent used them before so I have nothing to say about their work, good google reviews though.

My eavestrough has a leak at a joint in the middle of a length, and my downspouts are all spliced poorly for water barrel diverters. Anyone have recommendations for someone good to redo certain sections? I'm under the impression that the big guys don't like these smaller jobs and my experience with gutter doctor has been lacking.

So I’ve tried and tried but I can’t figure out how to change the bulb in the picture. Anyone out there know how? I haven’t been too forceful with anything as I don’t want to damage the ceiling. Any help would be great. It’s a swivel one.

It should swing down like a spotlight...I have the same in my ceiling here in my TV room.
Once it swings down you should be able to get at the bulb.

Its a 4" Halo brand gimbal PAR20 trim. Installed about 50 of those in the last 5 years.
It is friction fit into the recessed housing and will just pull down (the entire white trim has to come down to change the bulb). Sometimes it is quite tight, but it just pulls down. Easiest way is to tilt the bulb (only tilts on one axis) and then grab onto the metal that is exposed and wiggle as you pull

Alternatively, you can throw the house away and get a new one.

Pro tip. I've got quite a few of these and just pulling down on the trim is difficult and make sure you have clean hands!

I just bought my first property and am going to immediately pull out about 850sqft of worn out carpet. Any recommendations for a decently priced engineered hardwood place? I'd like to go modern with a grey oak of some sort.
I plan to live there for a year or so, then put it back on the market. So I'm looking for something that will appeal to the next owner as a premium product.
Thanks! I'm excited to start working in 2 weeks.

All this damn snow has resulted in some ice damming on my roof which has in turn resulted in some heavy condensation in the attic. Long story short, I think I have mold growing up there.
Any recommendations on attic mold remediation at all out there?

Turned out great, but in the end it was just a stipple ceiling. Cost $300 to do my small basement, 400sqft and included the stairs. (Sorry, just realized you are interested in knockdown)
