But then again she had the title of the Emperor's Hand, I was really disappointed when they introduced her and that stupid title, and I thought to myself.

I can just image a giggling Palpatine looking around to make sure that the Imperial Throne room and then undoing his zipper and saying in his evil voice

"Mara Jade, it is time to fulfill your destiny, and take Vaders place in my lap"

Well duh to no Han Solo, any flashback would probably be to a younger Han, and if he appeared as a ghost it would be really really really stupid.

I'm surprised that Chewie might not be in it, but I would assume that Finn is going to take up the role of the Han Solo type and they'll probably give him a different weird alien as a side kick.

Kenny Baker not coming back would be sad, but he's getting up there in terms of age sooo.

I think the same goes for Mayhew... the guy can barely stand anymore... they had another actor doing the scenes where chewie wasn't sitting.

I'm surprised they even bother with an R2 actor anymore. You would think it would be a lot cheaper just to make it remote controlled.

How can we discuss a direct sequel that doesn't mention plot points form the previous movie?

Not to mention, as CC pointed out...we know that Solo's not in this one already. Chewie is likely there in his new format, as is R2. They don't need the same actor under the suit.

Also, if they aren't there...well, it is quite a bit later, it may be time to move on.

And I also see this thread as having a lot of conjecture as it's likely to be a continuation the SW7 thread.

I dont know, I've seen it so I dont care but maybe that should be reflected in the title? Someone might not think about that.

Fair enough, perhaps adding "spoilers for EVII" in the title would help. Otherwise there will be a lot of "you know who" comments, or have the thread will be spoiler tagged.

If you come into a thread for a movie's sequel, and are not expecting spoilers for the first movie, you have to give back your licence to use the internet.

Why would you spoil this for me??? I haven't seen any of the other movies yet, jerk. I just want to read about episode 8 without seeing any discussion about the other movies.

They should just destroy some of the super weapons from the EU, and use those.

Lets see. How about

The Galaxy Gun

A large sex toy built by the re-encarnation of Palpatine that could fire hyperspace canon shells across the galaxy in minutes that would destroy planets.

Destroying planets not enough for you, how about this beauty the shiny Sun Crusher

This little beauty has it all, its a single man fighter that fires a resonance torpedo into the heart of a sun causing a chain reaction that would destroy an entire solar system. Coated in a crystalline armor it was completely invulnerable to anything.

For the more environmentally friendly despots out there, here comes the World Devestator. These toaster shaped beauties would eat planets on one side and poop out fighters on the other, recycle whole planets, thrill your kids with their own star fighters.

Good explanation on why Snoke may not have use of the force, duplication some of Captain's posts, but still interesting.

Quote:
As we can assume from the movie, Snoke existed during the events of Return of the Jedi. So if Snoke was a living wielder of the Force during Jedi, how would Anakin have been able to bring balance to the Force? With Snoke being able to still wield the Dark Side, the Force would not have been balanced, thus the canon would be broken.

But if Snoke was not a Force wielder but still knew how the Force worked, it would technically fulfill Anakin's destiny, and fit perfectly into the canon of the rest of the series.
