Not that impressed, really. I know he has 30 points. But, he has the quietest 30 points that may ever be. A lot of secondary assists, then just lets Debrincat and, lately, Strome do the heavy lifting. Earlier this season, he was with Toews, and made little impression. Some speed, but, often to no purpose. Not great in the D zone. He is a young guy adjusting to the NHL, and has been okay, but, imo, still a lot to learn.

The Bruins and Knights were tied 1-1 after forty minutes. Both teams scored 98 seconds into the third period, 2-2 now.

Detroit's defensive strategy in overtime was... interesting? Not sure having all 3 guys swarm Toews, leaving Kane open like that would have been my plan but what do I know?

Help, save, whatever.
|
Great, I see Boston won again.
Leafs have gone 7-2-2 in their last eleven and have lost massive ground on Boston and TB. It's not fair!!

Yes they did. Jets are suppose to fly at high altitudes, but, lack of oxygen in the combustion chambers.

What's the 2nd tiebreaker for the standings? Head to head? Goal differential? 'Hawks are 2-0 vs. the 'Lanche, play them in the next game, and have a home and home, back to back, next month vs. them.

From NHL.com's Standings page:
Quote:
If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:- The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
- The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.
- The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs.
- If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included.
- If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
- The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season. NOTE: In standings a victory in a shootout counts as one goal for, while a shootout loss counts as one goal against.

Was going to mention this last night but I thought Mike Tirico was great calling that Wings-Hawks game.
Turns out that was his first time calling an NHL game, amazing.

Yes, the Sportsnet website does indicate which games are being shown in 4k.
Tsawwassen and I used to post which Sirius and XM channel the Flames game was on. Thank you for posting this and we will start to post those Sirius and XM channels or the link starting with today's OOT.

Tirico did an excellent job. He does watch many Red Wings games as he lives in Ann Arbour, Michigan. Many people were impressed with his play by play. The first just link below has two short clips of him calling goals and positive comments from Cuthbert and others. The second link has all the goals and highlights with Tirico and Olcyzk.
