Anything more on that Forsberg news from yesterday? Curious to see the ripple effect that would create. With the Flames and here.

To what end?
Having players like Bennett and Jankowski in your forward depth is a strength. What would be the end goal in subtracting one of those two? To add a more expensive veteran who has proven more?
I think they've got their proven players, and now have a lot of younger players hungry to prove themselves and work their way up the line-up.
I could see them making another trade, but it makes very little sense to deal Bennett or Jankowski in my eyes.
We don't need to dump Brouwer, so offering up any type of sweetener to do that also makes no sense to me.

The goalie from Chicago? We don't need him.

from what I hear, being traded was a wake up call for Hall and he's really matured over the last two years.
and he also applied himself more to work on his on ice game which he admitted he never took the off season as seriously.

Rock bottom was being drafted by the oilers in the first place

I can see Johnny wanting to be closer to home. Especially with Guy getting older, already a health scare, and how tight Johnny is with his family. Some extent of Hamonic wanting to come to western Canada.
Johnny for Hall would be the only trade that would make sense, similar age range, similar position, similar point production.
I would probably do the trade today. We have way more depth than we've ever had. I would totally miss Johnny dangling but watching Hall stick it to the Oilers, that alone would bring me more pleasure and satisfaction.

Why would that make any sense?
Forbserg is a 26yo who posted a .908 / 2.97 GAA last year in 35 games for a .467 Quality Start %
Rittich is a 26yo who posted a .904 / 2.92 GAA last year in 21 games for a .625 QS%
He only thing goalie A seems to have over goalie B is the fact that Crawford was more injured than Smith last year.

I'm not sure that it would, which is why I was curious to see if it had any legs. Responses such as yours would be interesting to read as the debate of why they would make that move, what happens to the succession plan and who (if anyone) would have to be moved out would keep us busy for weeks.
My personal feeling? Management doesn't trust what we have to get through an extended period if Smith goes down, but also doesn't value the backup role enough to pay for a bonafide 1B which means we see shuffling of deck chairs with a young inexperienced goalie being replaced with an equally young equally inexperienced goalie * or * an Eddie Lack situation like last year.
Also, just out of curiosity, was Forsberg the goalie of record when the Monsters won the AHL Calder Cup?

I actually wonder if they are making room for former Blackhawk Artemi Panarin.

What would they give up for Panarin?
Saad? Cause that would be kind of funny.

Do you honestly believe that a player or his team would freely and voluntarily let you see that evidence? You don't know who has a problem until it gets bad enough to threaten his career.

I don't 'honestly believe' anything that others project me to believe. That is not how I operate. And as already stated, I am done with the conversation you are trying to engage.

Forsberg does have 1 thing over Rittich - he is signed already.
He is on year 2 of a 2 year, 1.5M deal. 750K cap hit, paying 800K salary.
Now while I doubt Rittich commands enough more than that to change solely for that reason, it could be a factor. If Rittich wants 2 years and management wants to keep backups on 1 year for now to reassess, there could be a couple of moves to bring in a guy who is signed and ship out the RFA rights to Rittich
Clutching at straws, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility
