Wrong, Jay. Trump invented lying and spying. The US government never did it before him.
I get that part. It was the blue MAGA part. I think it was meant as a dunk on someone/something, but it missed the mark.
Of course every government of every country has lied/hid information. And every political party has blamed the other side. What is notable about that tweet? I don’t get it, but maybe that person is someone I should know?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
We now have a situation where 3/4 of republicans peddle the lie that the election was rigged.
Perhaps at the top level, but my guess is the base believes it, which is the vast majority, as they trust their elected reps who are peddling the lie

Obviously that includes saying the election had major voter fraud. They also get to say they agree Biden is the true president of the USA, but not because he won the election fairly, but because he got the House to certify the states electoral college results.
They are trying to play both sides "well we aren't saying Biden isn't president" its "only how he got there, due to COVID, that was unfair".
The problem with playing both sides of an issue if you confuse those you are trying to message too, your messaging isn't a direct and clear.
He also said that Stefanik is not a shoe-in in his mind adding “I ask myself every day why Jim Jordan isn’t on our leadership team.”
CNN then asked Jordan if he wanted to be in leadership, he shook his head “no.
I wonder why Jordan doesn't want it, seems like the perfect person given what the GOP wants in the role ("leaders who will enable and spread his destructive lies")
Didn't Eric Adams say basically the same thing? And isn't he the only likely challenger for the front-runnership at this point? Yet somehow Yang's tweet is the one that stirs up a massive controversy. Huh.

Anyway I know a lot of people like Yang and had hopes he might be different, but he's just another politician. Lie, cheat, steal, pander, whatever it takes to get the office.

The Following User Says Thank You to Senator Clay Davis For This Useful Post:
I wouldn't say that the GOP has cancelled Liz Cheney, they just demoted her. They haven't even kicked her out of caucus which is what political parties commonly do for dissent.
I don't think it a big deal or the turning point that the media is making it out to be. It just shows the the GOP is still the party of Trump and they still are peddling the theory that the election is stolen and Cheney can't be in a leadership role if she doesn't agree.
