A guy on my Facebook posted this and I had to refrain from commenting because I know my cousin's husband who is good friends with him will get on my case because he likes being a knob just for the sake of being a knob.

Just watched the Ducks Oilers highlights and I'm wondering how Edmonton ever loses?

Another guy who is a Penguins fan posted this reply and I made sure to like it.

unfortunately with how the playoffs were called the last couple seasons, they will probably get at least 5 pp opportunities a game

I like LA, Minnesota and Dallas as much as the Oilers even with regular season reffing
I like Colorado more if they get their guys healthy.
I'm on the fence about Vegas. Not sure they have the horses and their goaltending situation is shady (and so is Edmonton's)
Oettinger and Gus are significantly better than Edmonton's tandem and imo goalies usually are the difference after the first round.

Out here on the steels
I dive for the reels
I get my stick into your scrotum
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm sh ite
No, I won't ever be a winner
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Won't ante-up
Won't raise the cup
Edmonton's a draft pick wasteland
Woody, take my hand
Play will go south to a man
Dumpster tire fire
We don't look past the blueline
The exodus is near
The happy worlds are here
Let's get traded
Before we get much older
Let's Go
Eight days wasted
Edmonton's a draft pick wasteland
Eight days wasted
Another
Season wasted
They're all wasted

If they are playing LA in the first round, I don't think they can get pass LA. LA have better D and G, and LA have more guns. Tomorrow will be the signature game for LA, I think LA can get the lead and shut them down.

People are forgetting that Smith played out of his mind in the playoffs.
Is Skinner going to be good enough? No. The answer is no.

I think home ice will mean a lot to that match up.
If LA gets it, I see Edmonton being hard pressed to overcome them. They're a dominant home team and with the advantages you mention.
If the Coil take it, I could see the home ice reffing affording them enough wins to take it, albeit in a longer series. A lot like last year.

I see your point, but keep in mind last year Kings were without Pouty, and still took the Oilers to 7th game. This year, if Kings don't have home ice, all they need to do is get a split in the first 2 games. If they can get the series tied 1-1, Oilers will have difficulty winning one in the next 2.
What I really hoping for is Oilers get swept!

Fun facts: Mackinnon is currently tied with Erik Karlsson for the league lead in even strength points (73) despite only playing 66 games. RNH is currently in a 10-way tie for 53rd in even strength points (45). RNH is a good player, but people have really been putting him on too high of a pedestal now that he has a 100 point season. He’s not scoring 100 points if he doesn’t get PP time with two of the best offensive players in the world
