Default RFA Deadline June 15, Re-rates with grids

OK here is an updated re-rate file. I unretired a bunch of players who had 0 ratings to fix that issue. In addition, you can now also see the RFA/UFA contract amounts by each player and rating.

I will post instructions for sending in your RFA signings tonight or this weekend. Do not sending anything in until that gets posted.

https://cphl.calgarypuck.com/pages/s...tes_Grids.xlsx

You'll also see the cutoff for players under 23 that need to be called up if you intend to make UFA offers or re-sign you own UFAs.

OK here are the instructions. I'll set a deadline but we are so far ahead of things that we can probably take a couple weeks with this.

- If a player is signed for this upcoming season - you don't need to worry about it. If a player is a free agent and 28 and under - the RFA grids apply.
- If a player does not have a gird amount you can sign them for the minimum (the amounts at the bottom of the list)
- RFAs are 2 way deals
- You can choose from the 1, 2 or 3 year numbers
- You MUST have enough cap space to re-sign your UFAs, but you do NOT need cap space to re-sign your RFAs
- Do not send UFA deals yet. That'll be the next step

NEXT STEPS:
- This should be done by emailing cphlufa the following (send it all in one email, not an email for each player). Please follow this format.
- The name of the player be signed, OVR, number of years you are signing them to, and the corresponding grid amount.
- A list of players you are NOT re-signing and therefore want released
- Please include any ECHLers that have 0 years remaining. You can also sign other ECHlers with term remaining but there is no deadline for this yet. ECHL contracts are based on where they were drafted in the NHL:
1st Round = Picks 1-10: $1.35 million, Picks 11-20: $1.15 million, Picks 21+: $1 million*
2nd Round = $0.75 million*
3rd Round and beyond = $0.5 million*

After RFA re-signing we will have UFA re-signing and then UFA bidding.

Questions?

Looks good to me. Excited to lock up Pelech and Buchnevich at reasonable prices.

Prices look low to me. I'm not complaining at all as I'm not in nearly much of a cap crunch as I had anticipated.

They are a bit higher for the top players and a bit lower for the lower ones

Is there an error in the grid for d-men? The 1 year resigning for 69 overall is more than if you resign them for 2 years. It is also higher than 70 OVR players.

Nope that's a mistake. thanks for the catch. And of course the mistake caused issues the rest of the way down so I've fixed it now.

Awesome thanks!

The one thing I never understood is why is it once players meet the lower level tier of playable their pay starts to jump by .75m but then once they get higher it only jumps by .5m. I always thought it would make more sense if that was inversed.

I do that so that there is a concentration of higher paid players at the top
So I set the top first and then scale it down. So the smaller jumps at the top means more expensive players at the high rating end
If i understand your question….

Cool cool. Just sent in an extra email adjusting the re-signing amount for Sebastian Aho on a one-year deal to $2.5m instead of $3.5m.

Yeah that makes sense. I was looking at it from the bottom up.

For players that have no rating and therefore do not appear on the grid, use the lowest values in the grid
3 years: 1.25
2 years: 1.0
1 year: 0.75
