What a complete scumbag, laying there with a broken leg and still trash talking the guys wife. Shame the fight didn't go longer so his face could have gotten messed up more.

Damn that sucks so bad it had to end that way.
No real winner, no real true resolution.

I think that’s the last we’ll see of McGregor. Can’t say I’m too bothered.

Conor got ground and pounded for most of the round, gassed his arms out trying to pull a guillotine, and he’s a guy whose punching power is usually gone after the first or second round - very unlikely he wins even if his ankle didn’t break
Just realized that Conor was saying the whole week that he was gonna put Dustin out in a stretcher, this is a pretty fitting ending

Can't say I agree.
He's still the biggest draw in MMA and you can tell he was very hungry, and very pissed off that he lost that way.
If Poirier would have put his lights out, maybe then he'd shut er down. Can't see him going out like that.

Don't be obtuse. You know exactly what I meant.
Not a real winner.
I guarantee you that's not how Poirier wanted to win that fight either. He wanted to put Conor's lights out, not have his ankle give out.

Poirier won that fight clearly.
Sure Mcgregor rolls his ankle, but he’s because he was wobbly and his equilibrium was out after the ground and pound.
When you are bleeding from the ear and just got punched in the head over and over it’s not “unlucky” to lose your balance and roll your ankle. It’s because your legs are wobbly.

For the record, Poirier won that round handily, and more than likely goes on to win that fight in the next round or two.
But that was a disappointing way for the fight to end for both of them. Neither is happy about it IMO.
Obviously Poirier was winning the fight, and was declared the "winner".
But nobody can say he won that fight decisively, because Poirier didn't get a chance to finish Mcgregor, Mcgregor's ankle did it for him.

Yeah, the calf kicks were increasing as a technique and now guys are on to it defensively and turn their shin out to check it.
I think McIdiot tried to copy Dustin's leg kicks from the last fight and Dustin checked it to crack the bone.
Then later it broke fully under his weight.
Would like to see the replay of the check that did the damage.

Not being obtuse I just totally disagree with you...he was getting his ass kicked and was wobbly...led to the injury.
It is a fight, losing because you are too injured to continue is kinda the whole point no?
I'm sure he will trash talk and put on a show to rake in more money but the guy is done IMO. Its not like hockey where a good team still loses 30 times a year or something, if you keep getting your ass beat the gig is up.

Boring, Burns did what he had to do and took it to the fence and shot for takedowns in every round.
WB won the second round on every scorecard and looked good to start the third, but another takedown with some punches (some to the back of the head) sealed the decision for Burns.
Disappointed that this might be it for his title aspirations.
