Personally, I’d rather leave this adventure into old timey sexism and gay erasure the way it is: based on a little bit of magic and a little bit of hope.

The way you describe it is that an ideal man would die rich and alone on a pile of money and it’s only because he caves he doesn’t. I think you have stripped men of their agency here.

I am absolutely holding out hope that by assuming the assets of the private corporation the CEC was, it will finally be open to FOIP requests. I can only imagine the amount of gross, ridiculous spending of taxpayer dollars on frivolous and superficial crap the UCP engaged in during their disastrous tenure and for one of the most embarrassing spectacles to ever be produced by the Alberta government.

And it won't matter to 99.999% of UCP voters, because they absolutely couldn't possibly care less.

Perhaps I didn't explain well or caving isn't the right word. In my opinion and others routed in logic, if a man is interested in women and is in a position where money, power, status and more is and there is plenty of women around, sooner or later you date, sleep with, settle down with one. It's 100% logical. If you aren't seen with women in that capacity, perhaps you aren't interested. Realistically how many years and decades can you go on without someone, anybody you come across peaking your interest?

I am just speculating of course but people in the public eye have speculation about their personal lives all the time.

Not sure if this was posted or if it belongs here, but Craig Chandler has taken over the campaign for fired mayor of Chestermere Jeff Colvin and the other fired council members.

He started a fight at a debate or something yesterday and was kicked out. He would not leave so RCMP came to get him.

He has been plastering Social Media with his garbage, and anyone who fights back against him and his history is threatened with lawsuits and hearing from his lawyer.

Also have started a the fired mayor and council members are the only non WEF people running.

Yeah the I Love Chestermere Facebook group has been pretty annoying lately. Colvin still posts as "Mayor Jeff Colvin" and the first reply is usually people saying "You're not the mayor, stop calling yourself the mayor".

Colvin's posts are usually trying to say that the province and Deloitte are lying about him, he's being persecuted, that people should stand for democracy not dictatorship, etc. I lack the mental energy to judge the merits of what he posts.

I really really hope he doesn't get reelected, but there are a LOT of people in Chestermere that would probably support his style. It would be nice to just move on.

I agree hoping he doesn’t win and I don’t think he will, I also didn’t think this province would vote for Smith but here we are.

It’s crazy he is allowed to run again, it doesn’t make sense. Get fired for a bunch of infractions get to run again and do it all over again.

Politicians get away with anything and keep plugging along.

Trump calls himself president and gets pissed when that fake title isn’t used. Maybe that’s where Colvin gets his ideas.

I’ll disagree and opine that he should be able to run again. He’ll lose anyway; we hope.
