Big Media wasn't at the Premier's one on One, but one person live tweeted it. I can't see twitter, but this article has a few snippets...
Quote:
“Six per cent are choosing to get the vaccination for their kids,” Ms. Smith said in response. “That means it’s 94 per cent that are not. That says to me that people are smart, and they’re figuring out whether or not it’s right for their kids.”
Now, however you look at it, this statement is extremely troubling.
It’s bad if the premier is just gas-lighting, making it up for a (mostly) sympathetic audience with the danger in mind that party members could vote for a leadership review at the UCP annual general meeting in Red Deer in November.
But it’s worse, obviously, if it’s true. The implication a significant portion of the population has been so persuaded by a MAGA-influenced government that it has moved beyond science into a YouTube rabbit hole of public health misinformation is genuinely frightening.
|
Quote:
From Ms. Teeling’s tweets, we also learn that Ms. Smith also told listeners, as has been widely rumoured, that her government will update the provincial Bill of Rights in the fall to protect the right of vaccine refuseniks to spread disease in health care settings. (This is a topic that deserves its own discussion of the legal and public health chaos that could result from such a policy.)
She called it “a problem” that there are so many doctors on the board of the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons. There were hints she’d still like docs to be able to prescribe ivermectin, the notorious veterinary deworming paste, to treat other diseases.

Priorities of a moron. Remind me again why people want to be governed by those who despise science and facts so much? What's the long term benefit of that?

Why people want a kakistocracy is a bit of a mystery, but I think many Albertans got bamboozled and didn't understand what they were electing. It just seems that a lot of people have a hard time believing someone when they show you who they are.

Does Danielle Smith own shares of ivermectin, or what?
The unfortunate thing is that so many Albertans have been conditioned to vote blue and that the other side is bad, that they can't even see the horrible things the UCP is doing. Or they see it and blame the government of 9 years ago or the feds.
It's crazy that as awful as this current government has been, they stand a good chance of being re-elected. This isn't China/Russia/whatever... you can actually vote for someone else here.

Have we all just given up on following the crazy dangerous crap they have going on?
Base pandering changes about vaccines and the alberta bill of rights. Busboobs taking questions about chemtrails...and not just outright answering that its a conspiracy theory.
I hate this ride, they suck so much.

Between shutting down the long covid clinics for needy patients and this vaccine and chem trail nonsense, is it time to wonder once again, who the #### voted for these #### weasels? Is this what you expected? Absolute morons. The intellectual collapse of society is far closer than I had anticipated.

I dunno, if they drop in another new leader before the next election I think it would be only fair to give them a(nother) shot.

I don't think leadership is the problem here... I do not see any potential #ucp leader that can restore what the UCp has destroyed. The #ucp membership base is Damm proud of their "achievements to date... And They want to take their work further!

OH of course, but this is their playbook. When approval gets too low about a year out from an election, replace the leader and say things will be different. That will fool enough people, and then surprise, they keep doing the same ####

I saw somewhere the list of most pressing matters/questions the base wanted answers about at their general meeting. In a million years i would not have guessed what was top of their mind...
It was the WEF/WHO

Jason kenny told us, "You will not recognize Alberta when i'm done with it."
I never could never understand what was wrong with Alberta when he came into power.
