More competence! I’m confident they won’t #### this up at all and it isn’t part of their plan to dismantle health care, privatize it, and appoint their cronies on sweetheart contracts that deliver 1/10th the service for 5x the cost.

I'm so happy that I moved from Alberta to Doug Ford's Ontario. Let that sink in for a minute.

I'm in Ontario too, and all we have actively on deck for problems (and there are many, many issues with Bumblebee mouth and his clown show, so lets not discount that), is an LCBO worker strike, and Dougie pumping the tires on cringe summer liquor ads lol

And they'll totally know which bear is the right bear to kill and nobody will ever abuse this claiming they just shot a 'troublesome' bear, nope.

Wasn't this literally a plot from The Simpsons ~30 years ago? The UCP knows that was satire, right?

It gets worse and UCP seems to have accelerating plans, private hospital anyone? "Primary and Urgent Care"
Quote:
Planned renovations at the Airdrie Urgent Care Centre have been put on hold while the provincial government considers a new pitch.
The proposal comes from an Airdrie doctor, in partnership with a developer. It could see a new facility built and leased to the province, with a family medical practice attached.
The delay has raised concerns among local health-care advocates, who worry about the impact on patient care and what some see as a lack of transparency in the process.
The renovations were halted on Jan. 11 by the Alberta government. It had committed $8.4 million to increasing the number of beds in urgent care as well as renovating some of the clinics located in the centre. Construction was expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The (improper) use of that comma in the first sentence, the outdated double-spacing before the second and third sentences, and starting the third sentence with an 'And' tells me all I need (or want) to know about this group. Also, who the hell is 'Alberta Health'?
That document is giving me hives.

His goose was cooked once the emails came out. Normally, I would say this isn't a good look for the government, but it's very on brand for them.

Alberta Health is a government ministry that sets policy and oversight, and AHS is a health authority and does the operations. Different functions, but the confusion is always palpable.
Also, "How we develop a true partnership between you" is a half-complete sentence that leaves me wanting to know with who? WHO??

Don't forget the ad was done with the default Word font too. It looks like something handed out at churches on Sundays.

Getting front of the new, the government put out a press release on it:
https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?x...62F6C3D44224AC
I've modified Mr Cox's quote, in case the bears can read. Someone needs to warn them.
“Due to the increasing number of rural Alberta residents and the expansion of their territories, there is a heightened safety issue for grizzly bears.”

Which is why we're going to make sure we let that problem grizzly bear be at large until we can hold a raffle and get a hunter out there to get their trophy kill rather than having trained staff do so as quickly and humanely as possible.

I think you are reading too much into this mechanism they claim to be building. I suspect the person making the call about a problem bear on their property is also going to be the one who happens to be closest by, and will be the proud owner of a freezer full of meat and a nice hide for their great room. Yup, that bear was a real problem all right.
