Default Flames warmup with kids - where to stand

Taking a group of young (7) hockey players to the Flames game tonight. I want to catch warm up by the glass. Any recommendations for where to stand ?

Behind the net.

I remember when I was a kid, seeing a grown man shoot a puck left me in awe. I couldn't even lift it off the ice.

I always got there early so I could take my kids to the walkway so they can fist bump the players as they came out on the ice and/or left.

They're a bit older and wouldn't care to do that anymore but they have fond memories of doing that.

Absolutely behind the net, for the reasons listed above. Kids had fun bringing signs to specific players (eg Welcome To Calgary Toffoli), and getting the players acknowledgement and reaction. Begging for pucks over the glass is hit-and-miss and kind of puts a damper on the experience if they dont get one, even though it was irrelevant to begin with

By the glass at the gate to the left of the Flames net. Wait for Nick Fotiu to come and hand out pucks after warm-up. Oh wait...what year is this?

I used to do that with my kids and they loved it. I have the two seats directly above the walkway, and there are always kids there watching. If it is me and a buddy we will wait a couple rows back until warm up is over so kids can hang out there then move to our seats, if one of my kids are with me we sit but are always cool to make room for other kids if possible. Unfortunately with Covid there is plexiglass all around now so the kids can't reach down and get anything autographed.

The guy that is has my tickets tonight is a --gasp-- oilers fan, so feel free to go and annoy the crap out of him. Though at the game on Saturday I was about the only one in that row so there was lots of space for kids at the warmup. (sec 108 gets you to the walkway)

stand behind the glass. closest to the net of the team you want to see close up.

if the kids want to fist bump players, catch a whiff of what an NHL bench smells like, go by the tunnels to the ice

for the kid that is into the zambonis, you can catch the action as the flames warm up and get a somewhat close look at the equipment

What time does the warm up start and end?
Will the ushers prevent you from going down if I don't have lower bowl seats?

I went to the warmup vs Caps. It started about 6:30PM and game was at 7:00PM.

Ushers will let you go down and be at the glass no matter where your tickets are, but the expectation is you leave after warmups.

I stood behind the nets but I regret it. My kids wanted a puck, and only the kids standing near the benches get pucks.

I've seen some on the opposite side (same location by the blue line) get the odd puck.

I used to take my son every game we attended for years. You want your kids to stand in section 107. It’s close to the goal, but you are clear of the netting so players can through pucks to the kids.
