The one thing I'm not seeing much from Bianca today is the variety of shots, where are the junk balls and drop shots, the power is nice, but it also has led to a lot of unforced errors.

It's dumb. She's trying to hit winners, which, you know, fine, but she's got herself into a position where either you hit an unreturnable ball or you hit an error. The math just doesn't work on that. Look at the patience from Golubic in these rallies. Really playing a very steady, brainy game.

Bianca pulls it out. Happy to see her advance, but there's a lot of cleaning up to do.

Yeah. Some of the shots she hits look explosive and other times she makes it looks like the ball weighs ten pounds. A win's a win, I guess.

The fighting spirit is strong with Bianca, she has that championship mentality that you can't teach.

Gains some confidence, and get some good feel for some tennis. Hopefully she can get back to the level she was at two years ago.

In the post-match interview with Mark Roe, Bianca says she's feeling fine physically and could have gone another set.

So what do you guys think of 100% hawkeye?
I think it's great! and baseball should definitely follow suit.

I think the only downside is that it's going to put some people out of their jobs and of course it's not exactly cheap either. At least we won't have to worry about Serena threatening to stuff a tennis ball down a lineswoman's throat.
/Hawk-Eye called at least six foot-faults on Fognini yesterday.

and Djoker would not have been disqualified for hitting a linesman in the throat. LOL

it's the way forward because it allows players to just focus on the match and not worry about using up challenges, yelling at ump, looking up at box for advice, etc. linespeople will just have to find employment at clay tournaments, which will continue with the dinosaur tradition of having everyone wait for the ump to climb out of their chair and argue endlessly about which mark is the right one.
also towel handlers shouldn't come back because that's gross, pandemic or not. and because it pisses off Kyrgios so much.

100% agreed - If they need to add five more seconds to the serve clock because players have to get their own towels and sometimes it's a bit of a hike, I'd be okay with that.

To your comment, watching the matches yesterday, it "felt" faster. I thought the points were played quicker. The players focused on the game and knew at the back of their head that if a call was out, there is no point reviewing it. Just the whole play felt faster.
I like it.
