Habs deadline
The Habs did the majority of their adding in the weeks leading up to the deadline, but they were still able to come to two quick and easy deals with the Canes and Kings. Colton Sceviour and Justin Braun were added to beef up the depth.
The team now feels it has the high end talent and the depth to do damage in the playoffs.
The task will not be easy as a #8 seed and starting with the potent Rangers. The Habs will need a big playoffs from Mcdavid and will need veterans Stone, Backstrom and Burns to step up. Carey Price has been a great playoff goalie and has multiple CPHL championships under his belt. The Habs will need Price to play up to his potential to win any games.
The one surprise of this deadline is that we did not have one blockbuster talk. Usually after I am “done” someone persuades me
to make another big deal.
