A three game slide puts four teams within three points of catching the Kings, and we've all played 75 games. Only eight to go, and LA is not feeling optimistic about the playoffs, or what damage we can do if we get there.
The Kings are sitting on great playoff UFAs in Lars Eller and Jesper Fast as well as contract bargain and performer Marc Boroweiki on defense. Trading any of them would be throwing in the towel, as they are too important to a bubble team, but would greatly bolster the middle six/middle pair of a contender.
This must be what the real life Flames/Minnesota feel like every single year.
