Not many people that don’t follow hockey will recognize anyone that’s not Crosby.
I probably wouldn’t recognize many NBA players other than Lebron and some former stars. I shot a commercial with 2 NFL stars that everyone was swooning about and I didn’t even recognize their names. And I follow sports more than most.
