After taking a week off last week for the Survivor finale, TAR came back with a double-header.

The first episode saw the teams head to Dubai. Rachel & Elissa had a bad cab driver and made a mistake in deciding to switch Detour challenges. This would have cost them the race, but they were saved by the non-elimination leg.

In the second episode, the teams made their way to Uganda. Janelle failed to read the clue at the Roadblock and wasted a lot of time looking for a watch vendor for her "Rolex". In the end, they still had a chance because of the Head-to-Head competition, but as usually happens in those, the team with experience won every one, and Rachel & Elissa survived to annoy us for another week.

Halfway through the race, and so far, every leg has been won by a former Amazing Race team.

First Episode, Dubai, UAE:
  1. Becca & Floyd (Win $5000 each)
  2. Chris & Bret
  3. Colin & Christie
  4. Tyler & Korey
  5. Nicole & Victor
  6. Janelle & Britney
  7. Leo & Jamal
  8. Rachel & Elissa (Non-elimination)
  9. Corinne & Eliza
  10. Rupert & Laura
  11. Art & JJ

Second Episode, Kampala, Uganda:
  1. Tyler & Korey (Win a trip to Singapore)
  2. Colin & Christie
  3. Nicole & Victor
  4. Chris & Bret
  5. Becca & Floyd
  6. Leo & Jamal
  7. Rachel & Elissa
  8. Janelle & Britney
  9. Corinne & Eliza
  10. Rupert & Laura
  11. Art & JJ

  • csnarpy: Leo & Jamal / Corinne & Eliza
  • trackercowe: Nicole & Victor / Janelle & Britney
  • Fuzz: Becca & Floyd / Chris & Bret
  • Hockey: Colin & Christie / Nicole & Victor
  • WhiteTiger: Corinne & Eliza / Rachel & Elissa
  • getbak: Art & JJ / Tyler & Korey
  • GoinAllTheWay: Chris & Bret / Becca & Floyd
  • ClubFlames: Tyler & Korey / Leo & Jamal
  • Amethyst: Rachel and Elissa / Colin & Christie
  • KevanGuy: Janelle & Britney / Art & JJ
  • surferguy: Rupert & Laura / Laura & Rupert

With Janelle & Britney's elimination, we also say bye-bye to KevanGuy.

Next week, the teams head to Switzerland, and we'll get to see Team Fun on a funicular.

Elissa is tolerable. Rachel is still just the worst. Lol at Elissa also getting sick of listening to her sisters whining during the cab ride.

However, I wish they'd both lay off the jump up and down with their hands in the air like 5 yrs olds when celebrating something.

That VR skydive would be a ton of fun.

That silent rave was also kinda neat.

My teams are still hanging in there. Good thing the first one was a non-elimination round. Rachel stuck around so long to annoy me in her previous season, she better not go out early when I can finally earn some glory from her annoying presence.

Janelle was a challenge beast on Big Brother, I'm surprised didn't do the head-to-head duel.

I go back and forth between liking and disliking Rachel. Elissa is really chill though.

That episode did a great job showing off Switzerland.

Nicole annoys me more than the Reilly sisters, but I'm glad Victor wasn't eliminated.

This week, the teams headed to Switzerland and did not save the drama for their mamas.

The challenges themselves this week were pretty straight forward, so they wasted a bunch of time showing the teams scheming about U-Turns.
  1. Tyler & Korey (Win a Spa Day)
  2. Colin & Christie
  3. Becca & Floyd
  4. Leo & Jamal
  5. Rachel & Elissa
  6. Chris & Bret
  7. Nicole & Victor (Non-elimination)
  8. Janelle & Britney
  9. Corinne & Eliza
  10. Rupert & Laura
  11. Art & JJ
  • csnarpy: Leo & Jamal / Corinne & Eliza
  • trackercowe: Nicole & Victor / Janelle & Britney
  • Fuzz: Becca & Floyd / Chris & Bret
  • Hockey: Colin & Christie / Nicole & Victor
  • WhiteTiger: Corinne & Eliza / Rachel & Elissa
  • getbak: Art & JJ / Tyler & Korey
  • GoinAllTheWay: Chris & Bret / Becca & Floyd
  • ClubFlames: Tyler & Korey / Leo & Jamal
  • Amethyst: Rachel and Elissa / Colin & Christie
  • KevanGuy: Janelle & Britney / Art & JJ
  • surferguy: Rupert & Laura / Laura & Rupert

Next week, it looks like the race will stay in Switzerland and there will be a vote for the next U-Turn.

Ya, what the hell is this?? It's like the show is trying to breed drama this year. I get the feeling that they decided to make this leg a non elimination leg on the spot to keep the drama between Victor/Nicole and Elissa/Rachel going.

Great leg though. Had a bit of a "Canadian Race" vibe to it with the amount of physical effort it took.

They've had their 3 non eliminations now I believe. Everything from here on in is going to be elimination. The 3 teams that have been saved by a non elmination are Chris and Bret, Rachel and Elissa, and Victor and Nicole. They were also the 3 teams that were battling to stay in last round. To me, there's a clear division in the frontrunners and the not. Colin/Christie, Leo/Jamal, Tyler/Korey and Becca/Floyd seem to be the better teams. All those teams have one at least a leg.

Also, such a shame that Rachel is tied in most legs of all time. I wish the leg they finished last was an elimination. Having her share the record with the funniest team ever the Globetrotters, and maybe the best team ever the Cowboys sucks.

This week, we saw democracy in action with the first double U-Turn vote. Colin & Christie got votes because they're a strong team. Rachel & Elissa got votes because they're so damn annoying.

The Afghanimals got extremely lost and it almost cost them the game. In the end, it was finally time to say goodbye to Rachel & Elissa, and the world rejoices.

  1. Tyler & Korey (Win a Vietnam & Cambodia River Cruise)
  2. Chris & Bret
  3. Colin & Christie
  4. Becca & Floyd
  5. Nicole & Victor
  6. Leo & Jamal
  7. Rachel & Elissa
  8. Janelle & Britney
  9. Corinne & Eliza
  10. Rupert & Laura
  11. Art & JJ

  • Amethyst: Rachel and Elissa / Colin & Christie

With that, WhiteTiger is eliminated as well.

Six teams remain. 4 previous Race teams and one each from Big Brother and Survivor.

Next week, the teams Split and head to Croatia.

And rejoice I did. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome this leg. Now, can we FINALLY be done with that woman?

Colin must be happy to be over the cow demons. Looked like he was going back to rage Colin for a second but got er done. What a leg by those two.

Just caught up with the Race last night and hallelujah, Rachel & Elissa are gone!

Rachel repeatedly telling Chris & Bret that they are not a strong team either and they just messed up by choosing to U-turn them was hilarious because even Rachel knew they were effed against Colin & Christie in any task.

Oh and also, "It's a million dollar guys, come on. It's a million dollars."
So annoying.

I always laugh when a team gets U-Turned and whines about it because they're not as strong a team as someone else. They love to play the "everyone always underestimates us" card, but the moment they get treated like a strong team, it's "why are you picking on us?"

One minute it's "I'm the greatest ever, I broke the record for most legs" and the next minute it's "why would you U-turn us when every other team is better?". So glad they are gone. Really any of the remaining teams winning is good with me.

Even by getting eliminated Rachel and Elissa annoy me, since now I've lost a team. Oh well, they made it the longest of the three teams left for me when I picked.

Colin and Christie continue to impress! I was a little worried how they would do, being so much older than they were the first time. But coming in third after having a U-turn was pretty impressive.

The whole voting on a U-turn thing, I hated. I've never been a fan of the U-turn. I think the race is exciting enough without these stupid manufactured drama moments and this one was even worse. One of the racers commented that it was just like on Survivor. If I wanted something to be just like Survivor, I'd watch Survivor.

Colin and Christie, you had me worried tonight. No more sloppy mistakes!! Christie was smart to immediately agree to work with the Afghanimal on the road block and they managed to get ahead of them during the rowing.

The team that left deserved to leave. They couldn't handle either detour. That much switching is guaranteed disaster.

Finally some travel drama. I believe this was the first leg of the race where all the teams weren't on the same flight. In the end, missing out on a flight was the best thing that could have happened for Nicole & Victor.

It really wasn't a good night to be from Boston as Chris & Bret ran possibly one of the worst legs in Amazing Race history. Based on the editing, I'd guess they were even further behind than it appeared.

Credit to Floyd for solving the puzzle by himself (and apparently on the first try).
  1. Tyler & Korey (Win a trip to Mexico)
  2. Nicole & Victor
  3. Becca & Floyd
  4. Colin & Christie
  5. Leo & Jamal
  6. Chris & Bret
  7. Rachel & Elissa
  8. Janelle & Britney

No casualties from our game this week.

Next week, it looks like the teams are off to the Netherlands, and another Double U-Turn. Will the former racers gang up on Nicole & Victor to defend their show against the Big Brother interlopers?

As much as Rachel was hyping up the fact that she has ran 32 legs over 3 races, the Afghanimals will tie her next week. If they survive to the Final four, they'll break the record that Rachel just broke.

Speaking of records, this was Tyler & Korey's 4th win in a row. Added to the 5 legs they won on their first Race, they now have 9 career wins, which I believe sets a new record for most legs won in total.
