This sounds like a recommendation from Bouw N Arrow. Olympia is fast food. Red Robins is a crappy burger chain, and Kelly O'Bryan's is a gimmicky pub. Why not just recommend hitting up the food court in Orchard Park Mall?
Olympia is fast food? What are you talking about? Red Robins has great burgers. The Royal Red Robin is delicious, just look at that! It's a thing of beauty. Kelly O's you just go for the pachos. Who doesn't love waffle fry nachos?
There's quite a few u-picks fruit places. My favourite so far is Paynter's. It might be old hat for you though (they do have pre-picked fruit, so you don't have to pick it yourself).
I would visit any of the Triple-Os. It's a chain but it's mostly local to BC.
Also, you should be aware that "Kelowna" is two places - the east side and the west side. They are quite different.

I know it's not everyone's fave, but the Earl's downtown is a great spot for a beer and a quick bite in the summer when you sit upstairs overlooking the lake. There's a couple spots by the hotel, the Grand or Delta or whatever they call it now, that are also okay for a quick bite or a beer.
Someone mentioned the beer breweries, we hit up a few last summer, got a flight at each one, was pretty fun. Liked Tree brewery the best but they were all pretty decent.

Another good spot overlooking the lake is el dorado on the patio. Beautiful spot.

That Earl's puts all the Earl's in Calgary to shame in terms of service and food prep.

Yes, this is a relatively good Earl's. View is good, and it's right downtown, so you can do the boardwalk along the lake before or after your meal.
For food, you need to check out Doc McWilloughby's, Mad Mango, Grateful Fed, Dunnenzie's, Mon Thong, and The Little Hobo. All are within a three block radius from each other.

These are all down on third, in the food district

Is it like a San Francisco and Oakland thing? If so which is the nice side?

Nothing that extreme. The east side is older and nicer. West Kelowna is much more mountainous and is harder to get around. It's just a pain sometimes to get from one side to the other during tourist season so plan accordingly.

Someone is flying across the country, wants to sample some local cuisine, and you're still sticking with a crappy burger chain? It's a place for children. There are way better options for burgers in Kelowna if you're an adult. If you're set on a chain go to Cactus, earls, or joeys. There are way better burger options than Red Robins. Heck McDonald's and A&W are better options.
I was curious as to your appearance, and I think I found a video of you going to get a New York slice.
