Season preview shows?
I have not been able to find when the season preview shows are happening that both TSN and SN do before every season. I guess because it is different this year we don't get one? Kind of a dumb decision by them as that is always a decent viewing draw.

There is one on tomorrow night on TSN, following their annual fantasy draft special.

Conroy on the radio this morning is a show in and of itself.
Talking about how Impressed he is with our D.
Very happy with Tanev , Valimaki and Nesterov mentioning conditioning, readiness etc.
Talking about forwards and speed and smarts .
Also to finish very happy with Mackey....size, smarts and speed.
Hearing about our off-season from the net out we've done really well.
Craig is a breathe of fresh air in the positivity department.

I wouldn't be surprised Ottawa is better than Montreal. No way they win the division

Do any of these guys realize that the Canucks are pretty much the Calgary Flames now?

I look forward to the surprised faces around the league (but especially at TSN)

Lots of eastern writers see very little of the western teams. The #1 source of viewing information is the playoffs. Of the Canadian teams, the Canucks were the last team standing.
Ergo, they must be the best. Or at least in the conversation.
(Not sure how you can be oblivious to what happens in the offseason, but here we are)

I really like the Habs team. I don't know if they're tops in the division, but it's close. They've got a stronger roster than the Leafs IMO.

Things will definitely change over the course of the season, but looking at looking at the cap situations day one here are the teams cap space, projected, and (deadline equivalent):
Cancuks $0 and $0 ($0)
Oilers $0 and $0 ($0)
Leafs $0 and $0 ($0)
Jets $0 and $0 ($0)
Habs $708K and 708K ($3.1M)
Flames $2M and 2m ($9.1M)
Sens $8M and $8M ($48M)
I know once Ryan starts coming into the roster that number will drop, but a decent place to start.

If those numbers stayed just like that, would that mean at the deadline we have enough room to add one player that has a cap hit of 9.1 million or would that be more because of the players pro rated salary for the rest of the remaining season?
