I think St. Clair may be the front runner to be Borjan's replacement now. He's really come into his own in Minnesota. Tajon Buchanan looks to be doing the same in New England, and Alistair Johnston in Nashville so I'd like to see them get a call up as well.
Akinola? Meh, he was never going to play for Canada. And given the emergence of Jonathan David, re-emergence of Cyle Larin, and Lucas Cavallini and Tesho Akindele still in the fold he's not really a big loss.

What's happened to Busti? Has he fallen off the map?

Thats probably putting it mildly, he went from juve u23 to serie d and he doesn't even own the starting job there.
Probably not as bad as Stillo for those who remember him who went from playing series b with Perugia to basically out of the game in a year or two.
St. Clair could solve the position for a decade, he looks legit. They add a centre back or two and get a centre mid upgrade and will easily be the best cmnt of last 30 years.
Akinola isn't a huge loss right now but he is frustrating because he has no ties to the us at all aside from brief period of residency after birth before he came to Canada, grew up here and was completely developed by Canadian teams. Bit of a spit in the face moment but understand he is not 100% decided and can still switch.

Totally agree, but I will get mildly annoyed at everyone that snubs their home country.
Years ago, it would have hurt a bit as we'd be unnecessarily hyping him. Now it doesn't make a difference at all.

Canadian International Liam Millar moved to Charlton Athletic in League 1 England on loan earlier this week from Liverpool. Gets the start in his first game today. Really excited to have a Canadian playing for my team, hopefully he makes an impact and helps us get promoted.
For anyone interested, the game is on DAZN today at 12:45.

Not sure where to put this, but . . . . CF Montreal?:
Club de Foot Montréal: Team unveils new name and brand identityl
The Montreal Impact unveiled a major identity change on Thursday, announcing a new name and brand image transformation. The club's name is now Club de Foot Montréal (CF Montréal, CFM or CFMTL).
"In order to keep on growing and progressing, we are making an important change," said President and CEO of Club de Foot Montréal, Kevin Gilmore. "This transformation is inspired by the culture of our city, its people, as well as the history of our Club and our sport in Montreal, to lead us into an even brighter future. It’s a great metamorphosis that will stimulate and guide our evolution."

I can't say I was ever fond of the Impact branding, or singular noun team names in general. But "Club de Foot"? Basically a generic "FC' moniker, but more clumsy.
But do I care? Not in the slightest.
If they ever play at Spruce Meadows again, I do expect the Foot Soldiers to do something witty though.
