Mathieu dropping that easy as hell INT has TSN Turning Point written all over it. Probably game over there but the Chargers drive lives on and they score a TD.

Chiefs gonna lose back to back games they had a 95%+ chance of winning with 90 seconds left.

Mr. Tryhard Rivers fails to come thru again. Way closer than it should have been though.

What are the Chargers going to do next season? They will be opening in that new stadium where it's likely there will be plenty of empty seats and it's probably only going to get uglier if they continue to have Rivers as their starter. Last night's game was bad even for Rivers.

This team should never have left San Diego. Hopefully Spanos sells otherwise things are about to get worse.

I agree kind of but I have a friend that lives in San Diego and he tells me Qualcomm Stadium (or whatever it's called today) is a dump. Much like with Oakland it's hard to keep a team when your stadium is a dump and the city doesn't want to assist in paying for a stadium. I don't want to get into the public money for stadium circular arguments but this is how the NFL conducts business and as long as other cities are willing to provide new facilities, teams are going to move. The Chargers long term could probably move to say St. Louis as they were ready to help build another stadium but Kroenke always wanted the LA market. I don't think they are going to succeed in LA as I fear that big stadium could look pretty bad with less than 40k next year for Chargers games.

The rumour is that they're London-bound but I'll believe it when I see it as that also means division re-alignment and I'm not sure how that looks (Chargers to AFC East, Miami to AFC South, Houston to AFC West would be my guess).

London is the only thing that makes sense since I could see the NFL forcing Kroenke to let them leave. But Kroenke has 10 years of tenancy from the Chargers coming, as ugly as it's gonna be for them he is not giving that up unless forced.

Always been a chargers fan and I would think next year I wouldn't mind going to a game in the new stadium and based on the LA market response to the team, should be able to get tickets easily and reasonably priced. The only thing good about this team now is the powder blues.

Just looking at the upcoming schedule, Niners have quite the next 3 weeks:
vs Packers
@ Ravens
@ Saints
Really going to see what that team is made of during that stretch. If they can go at least 2-1 through that, they are for real.

Yeah there was that story a week ago that got shot down but I don't doubt the NFL has looked at it. I see a lot of roadblocks. What other three teams in this division are going to want to have to travel to London every single season? What players are going to want to play in London when it comes to free agency? Will the team set up a base in eastern US to practice all week then fly to London for home games or will they be based out of London? Would a London playoff game not be a massive advantage for the London team against a team from say the AFC West that would only travel to London once every 3/4 years? I get that it could lead to a huge boost in income and promotion of the game on a global stage but I don't think the logistics are ideal.

In the middle of this supposedly generous (and unprecedented!) offer to give Kaepernick a league-hosted workout, the lawyers slipped clauses into a liability release that would create a foothold to fight against litigation under state and federal employment laws.
I believe this is the answer to why the NFL put this workout together. It created multiple outcomes that could all be weaponized against the league’s Kaepernick problem.
If Kaepernick said no to the workout or pulled out for any reason, the NFL could say “we tried” and there would be more than a few media personalities ready to carry that water. And if by some masterstroke Kaepernick’s lawyers said yes to the waiver, the NFL would have a signed document guarding against a lawsuit stemming from state and federal employment laws.
The workout was the Trojan horse.
The NFL’s weapon was the waiver planted inside it.
And a sweeping victory was one Kaepernick signature away.
