Is there a list of the players remaining at camp? Makes sense they will send the junior players down first. The major cuts will happen whenever the Stockton camp is scheduled to start.

He's only 19. Doesn't he have to go back to the Q until he's 20 unless he makes the NHL?

He was drafted out of junior, unless he made the big club he wasn't going to play pro this year.

Zav being sent back is a bit surprising as he looked pretty decent to me last night. He's got a decent future ahead of him, I'm not too concerned. Hope he rips it right up this season.

Camps have lots of unknown names, but my quick scan of the list seems to suggest they just cut three of the four junior aged players, leaving only Pelletier in Calgary for a longer look.
Don't think this is a judgement on Z but more a "lets get the junior kids back" kind of thing.

He looked great last year too in camp. Hopefully he stays motivated and continues to work. I see NHL material in him.

Zavgorodny had a wicked wrist #### last night that dinged off the post.
Looked decent enough to get another game or so. At the same time, not real a big deal.

Does anyone know the situation with the WHL Giants and their overage players? I was wondering if there is a chance that they are against their limit and might release Roman to play in the AHL or in Europe somewhere.
I am actually surprised that the Flames wouldn't want him him Stockton, but alas, he is not signed as far as I know.

He isn't going to make the team anyway. It appears (to me at least) that Peters and Treliving want to focus on the guys that are going to be here, and getting them ready to go.

Stockton just put in their ice, I can imagine that they will kick of camp in a couple of days.

Yes, this is SOP for junior players. Not surprised they gave Pelletier a few more days, that's also SOP for higher picks.

They have 3 overage forwards, 1 overage Dman and 1 overage goalie listed on their roster as of right now.
They only have one other import however, and Roman is easily the best of the overage forwards.
My bet is they keep Roman, Plouffe (the Dman) and one other forward, or possibly the overage goalie, as the other goalie is only 18 with only 41 WHL games under his belt.
