LF: USB or Mini Display Port To VGA/HDMI Simultaneously

Hi all,

I just got a Surface Book which has USB 3.0 ports and one Mini Display Port.

Ideally I'd like to find something that will let me connect to two displays simultaneously (one is HDMI, the other HDMI). I'd like to extend to both so it'll need to be active vs. passive.

Anybody know of what options I have online to find something that will let me connect to either USB 3.0 and/or Mini Display port.

Ideally I'd like to find something that isn't bulky and will only use up one of my ports vs. having two individual ones.

I have a Surface as well as a ThinkPad that use mini DisplayPort...I have a mini-DP to HDMI cable that works fine. It was $10~15 on Amazon.

You should be able to extend the Surface display to a monitor. No idea on extending to an additional monitor, though.

If you have 2 monitors with DP, and at least one of them has a DP out port, you can daisy chain them. otherwise you will have to go mini-DP to HDMI, and USB3 to HDMI. OR you can just get this, if you don't mind spending lots of $, and you still would need 2 mini-DP to HDMI cables.
