Is StubHub good/legal for buying playoff tickets?

A friend of mine is coming up to visit during the playoffs and is thinking about buying some playoff tickets from StubHub.com. I had never heard of it before.

I noticed the tickets are priced in a wide range but not door price... He has the $ so I don't care about that but is it good/legal? Don't want to see him get burned...

Best thing to do is go into the OT section a do a search for "stubhub"

The subject has come up from time to time, and there's a few threads with people giving their experiences with it.

I've used it it. It's good, but you will be overpaying. It's basically season ticket holders, etc who want to sell their tickets.

It's absolutely legal and legit.

I ordered a pair of sox tickets, they were delivered to my door the next day.

Game is on friday, so i'll let you know on sunday if they worked or not!

I use it to sell NFL tickets I get. No problems.

I used it in 2004 to get game 6 tickets versus SJ. IIRC, the seats were in the 40-50 range during the regular season, 75-90 during playoffs, and we paid 180 each for them.

Worth every penny, and although we were a little worried we would get hassled or they were fake or someone would be in our seats, that was not the case.
