Huh? Is he going in for an unannounced amputation? Hopefully the procedure is prior to the World Cup.

Uh oh....I've got a bad feeling about this...
Klopp must be feeling really confident to leave most of his Starting XI on the bench.

Kicking off in Madrid.
Savic loses it at Foden's cuteness at rolling back onto the pitch.
No love lost here. Get the sense the final whistle might not be the end of it..

Savic's obsession with Grealish's hair in this tie is kinda creepy. I get it, it's really nice hair and all, but dude stop lol.

City weren't any better than Atletico in terms of theatrics, time wasting and so on yesterday. Just an ugly, ugly tie that put a lot of the things I despise about modern football on display.

Love a good tie when no one wants to defend, especially with what will surely be a drab affair tomorrow night.

So that's Liverpool in the final. Villarreal might have had a better chance if Everton didn't just play terrorism ball, but Liverpool were ready for the haram.

Yeah...did Villareal just watch the Merseyside Derby and decide to themselves:
"Yeah...that. Lets get us some of that!"

Did you really expect different? They are all but dead in this tie 2-0 down, if they didn't park the double decker for this one they might have lost 7-1 and then they'd really be dead. Be interesting to see how much they goon it up next week, surely their only chance is trying to bait a Liverpool into a red card. 10 v 11 is still probably advantage Liverpool, but it becomes more of a toss up match.

I get that, but as fans we're also here for the entertainment value. Theatrics, hysterics, goon antics and general ####housery is brutal to watch.
I get that they had to try and keep the tie as tight as possible to give them some hope back in Spain.

For me context always matters. Villarreal are not a great team, and they are several (like 10) levels below Liverpool. Their only hope is parking the bus and ####housing. So it's gross, and it sucks and is embarrassing to watch, but it is very likely their only shot at getting anything from this tie. And even then the best they might do is penalties. Same with Everton Sunday, they suck, they can't play anything but negative to have any hope against Liverpool, and even one point would mean the world to them.
When Atletico want to play haram ball, though, it's really annoying. They have the talent to go toe to toe with almost anyone in the world. But they choose to play 5-4-1 or even 5-5-0 sometimes. Does it work? Yeah, sometimes. But they could actually win being more attacking, they just choose to do as they do. So I do wish we never had to see it, but in some cases it's ok. In others, it's just awful.
