Chris Summers was in the Coyotes organization for a number of years but I haven’t seen enough of him to say if he’d be an upgrade on Bartkowski. What I do know is that GMs sure like players they know.

Glad he's out of the division.

I'm not surprised that the grease waived Simpson but he wouldnt be the worst option as a #6D. He was very good in Bakersfield whenever the Heat played them last year. I don't know if he's any better than Kulak or Wotherspoon but maybe he could seize the opportunity unlike those two.

Big fan of Beau Bennett in the third line right-wing spot in today's NHL. A right-shooting winger is something the Flames are lacking, plus he's 6'2, and at 25 years old he is in the right age group.

What's the word on Beau Bennett? Poor skater? Must be a reason his career is going down the drain.

I used to be a big Beau Bennett fan, but he's a shell of the player/prospect he once was due to injuries. At one point in time he was an exciting up-and-coming guy for the Pens. His underlying stats for the devils were apparently good last year though, but if he's being waived that kinda tells you something.

I think he's about the same thing.

Guy that won't kill you playing a few NHL games a year, but not a regular.

Petteri Lindbohm from the Blues is a very interesting name. He was penciled in for the #6 spot on the Blues blueline, but he hurt his shoulder and didn't play in the first 5 preseason games. Finally got into one yesterday, but limited practice through camp hampered him.

Real big, physical, stay at home D-man. I think he would be a significant upgrade on Bartkowski when healthy

would not be surprised if Dallas picks him up. Hitch really liked him, but was a numbers game last season
