Janko either goes down or trades happen in the next 24 hours..

Not a fan of signing glass at the expense of Janko possibly being sent down. But I have no reason not to trust Treliving either.

He's played well in the pre-season. With that said I still wouldn't sign him.

Too large a sample size of being a net-negative to be swayed by a two week stint of playing desperate to save his career.

If he's inked he'll be a whipping boy within weeks.

Outplayed everybody that he had to. I love the competitive culture

And if his play drops you send him down. No brainer

Someone will need to drop those gloves occasionally.

Also hard to believe on the day we may be getting a mulligan on the awful Brouwer contract we may turn around and sign Tanner Glass.

Well this will at least be a single year contract that can easily be hid in the minors if things don't work out.

I don't mind this. Decent 4th line guy who adds some grit.

I'm aware of that and still think it's a bad idea.

The signing doesn't prevent Janko from playing though. It does show an organizational philosophy that might stop him from playing but Glass is easily waivable.

Our best fourth line was Stajan, Janko, Glass. Glass outplayed Hathaway and Hamilton for that energy guy spot.

A two-way deal wouldn't be horrible. He had a good preseason, but if his play drops off send him down. I'm guessing something similar to Gazdic's deal?

No, he had a decent preseason. He has a very large sample size before that of being an awful 4th liner.

How hard would negotiations be? Accept a 2-way minimum NHL deal or good luck elsewhere. Maybe the AHL money is the tricky part.
