It is kind of amusing that the arena has a name before the team. Where you at Elon Musk?

Nothing says Climate Pledge like sending a team of hockey players around the continent on a private jet to play a game. Talk about a luxury. I can only imagine the carbon footprint of one player on that hockey team in one year dwarfs mine for my lifetime.

I dunno. I think it sounds silly because Pepsi is such a mundane every day product, I guess?

It's always been my goal to be mature enough and just PC enough that this doesn't make me giggle a bit every time I hear it....so far I've failed.

For the record it's now called "Bridgestone Arena", and hasn't been named the "Gaylord Entertainment Center" since 2007. In 2012 the parent company changed their name to "Ryman Hospitality Properties".

This name is pathetic. This makes me worry how terrible the team name will be. Either way, this puts the stank up high with the Canucks and Oilers.

Man if they could only have called it Ryman Hospitality Properties Center. That's up there with Nassau Memorial Veterans Colosseum for number of syllables.
