Glad that Kesler, Bieksa and Perry are gone. Now it's time for Ribeiro and Neal to GTFO - Sharks in 6.

I can't support any team that employs Ribeiro. Sharks in 6.

Even the Stars have been kind of a dud for long time too.
I'm definitely way more interested in the playoffs now that all the usual suspects have been knocked out. Odds are good for a first time Stanley Cup winner or, at least, someone who hasn't won in a while.
The most recent champions left:
Pittsburgh (2009)
Tampa Bay (2004)
Dallas (1999)
New York Islanders (1983)

Could be a good match up for SJ. The Preds rely heavily on G and solid tough D, just like LA with Quick and their backend. Both like to clog up the middle and shut down the shooting alleys from the point.
There is no doubt in my mind the Preds will need Rinne to steal 2 games. If that happens the Preds win. SJ has more offense. Personally I like their depth in a long series over NSH.

Same here, both are teams that I have no issue with. As an added plus both teams actually have pretty dedicated fan bases that actually support the team so it would be nice for either team so have some playoff success.

Go Preds.
I really want to watch the US media get behind Nashville if they progress through the playoffs.

I'd love to see the Predators win this one too. That fanbase deserves good things.

Would like to see the Sharks go all the way so that de Boer accomplishes in year 1 what McLellan couldn't do in 7 seasons.

The battle of the angry animal head logos. Grr!
Weird that Game one is tomorrow. I assume Nashville didn't even bother going home after last night's game and went straight to San Jose.

Yeah, they interviewed Mike Fisher after last night's game and he said they were told to pack for six days.

Im going to root for the Sharks in this series. Ive got nothing against Nashville, I won't be upset if they win the series but Ive always been a big fan of Thornton and Marleau and to see them actually get some post season success would be a pretty good story line for me personally. If Nashville wins though it would be great for their fan base and also a great thing to watch. Either way this is actually a pretty intriguing series for me.
